“Yes I know what is at stake here” The blonde woman said annoyed.

“Then you must agree to this or there will be no case” The person sitting at the desk firmly replied.

A few moments of silence went by, as the blonde was deep in thought.

“Look Tina, besides the fact that I love you like a daughter… if I were to think as your boss, who I am by the way, you’ll need a security detail… all of you and that includes my actual daughter”

“But Peggy you cannot expect this to go unnoticed… we knew this case would draw attention… remember the first time we came with Al and Hel here, to this very same office, and we told you about it and what we were planning to do?”

“I remember it as if it was yesterday… it’s hard to believe it’s almost been six months and we’re so close…” Peggy Peabody said contemplating her desk deep in thought, just remembering.

“Precisely, we’re so close and in over five months nothing has happened to any of us… so I don’t see why we need to involve more FBI in this” Tina said frustrated.

“Are you serious? One of your three witnesses has been murdered last week and we have no leads… and the threats that you, Alice and Helena, and even myself, have been receiving have increased in these last seven days… they’ve become more violent in content and… they even knew where you were standing in your office the other day when you received that anonymous phone call… not to mention the broken windows at Helena’s house… thank the lord they weren’t there” Peggy said with fear written all over her face.

“Nothing is gonna happen to us and even then we knew the risks of doing what we’re about to do… so I still don’t think we should involve more FBI in this matter… let the police do their job, let them protect us like they have been doing” Tina was not gonna let it go for she didn’t want to make a big deal out of this situation. True she was as scared as anybody else, but she also knew the implications of her job and taking to justice two of the biggest Italian mafia families operating in the United States, of course would come at certain price.
