“You don’t know that… stop saying that!” Peggy grew in despair at the mere thought of what could have happened to her beloved daughter if she had indeed been home five nights ago. “You’re getting the FBI’s Special Operations Unit and I don’t care if you don’t agree or if you don’t like it… or if Alice and Helena don’t like it either. I’m your boss, I’m the head of the U.S. District Attorney’s Office of New York and you three will do as I say…” Peggy said, not raising her voice, but in that firm way only she could imprint to her orders. She had never been and would never be the shouting type of woman, instead she exuded respect and through that she was always able to get people to do what she thought best in every situation.

“But wait… Special Operations Unit? The FBI doesn’t have a Special Operations Unit…” Tina asked deep in thought, like trying to remember something.

“That’s the point of this Unit… not many people know about them and they are the best of the best within the bureau. They handle what other Departments can’t handle” Peggy explained trying to sound convincing and quite succeeding at it.

Tina thought about it for a moment, she didn’t like the idea of getting more people involved in their lives. It was hard enough to find clean and honest cops by whom they could feel protected and to be honest, she had grown accustomed to them being her shadow, she somehow felt better knowing they were constantly guarding her and the girls.

“Fine Peggy, if you believe that getting them involved will help in keeping us and this case alive, I will welcome them into this craziness… I just hope they are clean and don’t mess up this case now, that is on the verge of coming to an end… or a beginning” Tina half smiled thinking of how close they were to finally bringing those mafia families to justice and yet once that process started how long it would take for them to actually be put behind bars.

“It’ll be fine Tina… it’ll be fine” Peggy said really more to herself than to the blonde standing next to the corner of her desk and Tina noticed that. She had been working with Peggy for over four years now, right after graduating from Harvard, and this was the first time she ever saw her boss so concerned.
