    What If – Chapter 12

Franklin: Do you want to hear a joke?

Tina: [folding her arms across her chest] No, but if it will get you off my porch quicker I’m all ears!

Franklin: What’s the difference between a piano, a tuna, and a pot of glue?

Tina: [in an agitated tone] I don’t know what?

Franklin: You can tuna a piano, but you can’t piano a tuna.

Tina: [not amused at all] And what about the glue?

Franklin: I knew you’d get stuck there.

Tina: [getting the joke but still unimpressed] Your joke sucks.

Franklin: [taking another bite of his burger] According to Mr. Shoemaker your peach cobbler sucks.

Tina: [offended] He told me he loved my cobbler!

Franklin: I overhead him tell my dad it had so much grease John Travolta was in it.

Tina: [in a dry tone] I really don’t like you.

Franklin: So, does that mean you don’t want to buy any of my peanut brittle!?

    Tina: HELL NO!

Franklin: [shaking his head in disappointment] You’re making a big mistake.

Tina: Did you just threaten me?

Franklin: [in a sarcastic tone] Never, I’m too much of a gentleman to ever threaten a woman I merely suggested you choosing not to buy any of my peanut brittle would have dire consequences.

Tina: That sounds like a threat to me!

    Franklin: Buy my brittle?

Tina: No, I can’t afford it I’m unemployed remember! [she says before slamming the door shut in his face] Limping back in the house she plopped herself down in the same spot she woke up from on the couch.

Franklin: [standing on his tippy toes yelling from outside] THAT’S WHY YOUR SLEEPING ON THE COUCH!

Tina: OMG!? How did he—bad ass. [she says to herself]

The couch, the main culprit and reason for her restless nights served as a reminder of the huge blow out fight she and Bette had days before. Mustering up the courage she told Bette about quitting her job, Bette being supportive understood and respected her decision. It wasn’t until she bought up she was no longer going to China is when the argument began. Tina told her she was being silly and the fact that she quit her job was no reason to give up her dream job. Bette defensively responded she would give any excuse to get rid of her and be away from her. The remark was not only extremely hurtful but was the furthest thing from the truth resulting in making an already bad situation worse. Next, thing she knew voices were being raised, assumptions were thrown without merit, and words exchanged left them both furious with one another. When she stormed out of their bedroom she was grateful Bette didn’t follow she was in no mood to share the same air as her let alone occupy the same space.

    1. Hi Skunk:

Excellent story, very funny the little neighbor, and Bette and Tina fight, good they are going to patch up; funny what it’s happening on the TV, poor Dana, the time of taking decisions in arriving. Thanks so much for this wonderful chapter, please post soon.

    2. Fantastic update!

The scene with Tina and that kid was really funny ????

Bette &Tina fighting is always sad, but it happens in every marriage and relationship. I am a little confused about something, Tina quit her job and is now able to move ahead with Bette to China. It doesn’t seems that she going with Bette, why?

I am glad with Kit, she is able to talk sense in Bette.

Alice, Tasha, Dana and Lara, what a mess. Especially Alice and Dana play with fire and will get burnt, Dana more than Alice i think.

I hope that you will be able to update soon!

      Thank you
