    What If – Chapter 15

    Mr. Zao: I see.

Bette: [his tone suggested he realized the same and an awkward silence fell between them, 10 seconds into the conversation and she was going down faster than a one-legged man in a butt kicking competition.]

Before agreeing to meet him Bette knew of his reputation all too well. He was a stern man, business savvy, and held a second sense in identifying exceptional art and artists. In an article she read years ago he admitted he wasn’t blessed with the ability to create art and couldn’t draw a stickman to save his life. He never allowed his lack of talent to overshadow his passion in that same article he went on to coin his most infamous quote, “Those who cannot create see and believe in those who can.” There standing a few feet away from her stood a 5ft. 3inch man who held a wealth of wisdom and knowledge. Although, Mr. Zao was someone she greatly admired she found herself in agreement with the other side of his reputation as well he was an….asshole.

Mr. Zao: [walking with his hands behind his back breaks the silence] This painting here is rather strange.

Bette: It is, but surprisingly it is one of our most popular pieces.

Mr. Zao: [staring at it] What is its meaning?

Bette: Well, uh this particular artist his grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s and he wanted to capture her last few memories on canvas.

Mr. Zao: I see it now, [he says continuing to stare at it] very creative and thought provoking.

    Bette: Glad you approve.

Mr. Zao: Me and this painting have a lot in common.

Bette: You know someone who suffers from the disease as well?

Mr. Zao: No, but just a few days ago my eldest son asked me, “Dad after 45 years of marriage you still call mom darling, beautiful, and honey what’s the secret?

Bette: [now thinking about her and Tina] 45 years of marriage wow, what an honor I am also curious to know your secret.

Mr. Zao: Oh, there is none I call her that to conceal the fact I forgot her name 5 years ago and I’m afraid to ask her.

Bette: [was at a loss for words]

Mr. Zao: Is there a place we can sit and talk?

    1. Hi Skunk:

Thanks for this really funny chapter. I hope things will get better for Bette and Tina, and they could patch up their relationship.

I have my doubts about Alice and Tasha and Lara and Dana.

If Jenny was going to be at Shane’s party there will be hell to pay. Lol.

      Waiting for the next chapter

    2. Hi SKUNKPU80,

That was a very funny update, i loved the conversation between Tina & Kit, hilarious ????

I really hope that Bette &Tina are finally going to talk and solve their problems, their marriage is at stake and as a true Tibetter i am worried. Bette filing a missing person report was funny.

I hope the other couples are going to talk and sort out their relationships, but i don’t see a future between Alice & Tasha and Lara & Dana. But maybe you will surprise us.

Thank you for the update! I am looking forward to the next chapter!
