What If- Chapter 4

“Oh, how’s your jeep by the way?” Shane hearing her question begins to laugh hysterically, in one question Delia managed to make her point.
“For your information I will be picking it up first thing tomorrow morning thank you very much.”
“Yeah, okay, “she says smiling, “Lock the door behind me see you bright and early in the morning.”
“Yup, “she says walking towards the door to lock it.
“Oh, I almost forgot Alice called early this morning and she sounded kind of pissed. She wanted to reschedule her hair appointment for tomorrow because she said you told her you weren’t going to be in today but I told her you were.”
“Shit!” Watching Shanes reaction Delia becomes nervous.
“Wait, was I not supposed to tell her you came in today?”
“No, no you did nothing wrong drive safe and I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Goodnight boss.”
“Goodnight, “she says closing the door and locking it. Immediately turning around she digs into her pocket pulling out her cell phone. Just as she expected she had two missed calls from Alice and three text messages she opens the text and reads them in order.
“I thought you said you weren’t working today!” “Liar…liar….pants on fire!” And the last text was a picture of her middle finger flipping her off.
“Damn, “she says closing the messages before placing the phone back in her pocket. Walking towards the back she turns off the remaining lights in the salon. Doing a last once over to makes sure everything was shut down properly she sets the alarm, locks the door behind her, gets in her car and drives towards Alice home. She caught her in a blatant lie and knowing Alice an apology over the phone wasn’t going to cut it. She didn’t want to but she was force to lie Dana wanted her hair done around the same time as Alice scheduled appointment and rather have them run into each other she lied telling Alice she was taking the day off. In her head she had a pretty good lie going on unfortunately she never factored in the possibly of Alice actually calling the salon. Thankful the freeways were clear she found herself parking her rental 15 minutes later across the street from her home. Sitting in her car she mentally prepares herself for the confrontation to come.

So glad you updated. I enjoyed it. Thanks
Always a pleasure to read this story!
They should tell Alice that Dana is back, instead of trying to keep it a secret. Alice will feel so mad and betrayed over that.
Thanks for the update!
Great update.
Unfortunately, in one form or another Alice and Dana
can not fail to be reunited, both have the same
unusual friends.
All Stars.
Oh my God, poor Alice, being left aside by her friends and Dana being put in second place by her girlfriend; if their feelings for their significative ones are not strong enough, they may go back to be together.
Very nice chapter.
