What If- Chapter 4

“You look like shit.”
“Yeah, well I had to cancel my hair appointment today remember, “she sarcastically says while rolling her eyes leaving the door open for her to come inside. Placing the bat by the door she walks over to the couch and plops down. Closing the door then locking it behind her Shane walks into the living room before she sits down she notices a wet spot on the couch.
“I wouldn’t sit there if I was you.” Looking at her awkwardly Shane shifts three cushions down then takes a seat.
“You forgive me yet.”
“No.”
“The fact that I drove straight over here after work to say I’m sorry in person I might add doesn’t count for anything?”
“No.”
“Al!”
“Like why lie in the first place, “she says with her arms folded.
“I mean I didn’t do it on purpose.”
“You should wipe your mouth?”
“Why, “she ask while using the sleeve of her shirt to clean the corners of her mouth.
“There’s a tiny bit of bullshit around your lips.”
“You’re never going to let this go are you?”
“I don’t know what’s going on but it’s like all of a sudden all of my friends are a bunch of liars.”
“No were not besides you know we all love you okay look I knew I couldn’t come over here empty handed so I come bearing gifts, “she says pulling out a bottle of Vodka from inside her jacket. Alice seeing the bottle couldn’t help but to smile. Shane seeing her smile gets up waving the bottle in front of her.
“Come on you know you can’t say no, “she says doing a funny dance.
“I stopped drinking.”
“Since when? Hell, to days ago you text me a picture of you chugging down a few Vodka miniatures on your lunch break!”
“I don’t like you right now and can you stop doing that dance you look crazy.”
“Yeah, I know but I’ll do anything to stop you from being mad at me.”
“Well, if you don’t want me to be mad anymore you know where the glasses are so get to pouring, “she says smiling.
Lara was thankful that Dana allowed her to make things right between them. Things had been tense between them since arriving in Los Angeles mainly due to her fault. Matters concerning the opening of her restaurant had taken up much of her time including the possibility of her not attending Bette’s gala. Truth be told it was no longer a possibility as it had been confirmed rescheduling the meeting between her potential investors had been unsuccessful. All the key players including herself sustained busy schedules, the next date they all would be available to meet was five months away. Rescheduling the meeting meant there would be a delay in the opening of the restaurant or worse the possibility of losing her investors. The delay was the least of her worries, what she feared the most was breaking the news to Dana she could not attend one of her best friends gala. Dana expressed the importance of her being there at the gala by her side once she revealed she would not be able to attend it could be detrimental to their relationship. The gala was in two days and she knew she had to break the news to Dana soon, but she didn’t know how.

So glad you updated. I enjoyed it. Thanks
Always a pleasure to read this story!
They should tell Alice that Dana is back, instead of trying to keep it a secret. Alice will feel so mad and betrayed over that.
Thanks for the update!
Great update.
Unfortunately, in one form or another Alice and Dana
can not fail to be reunited, both have the same
unusual friends.
All Stars.
Oh my God, poor Alice, being left aside by her friends and Dana being put in second place by her girlfriend; if their feelings for their significative ones are not strong enough, they may go back to be together.
Very nice chapter.
