What is love? – Chapter 38

    Second day in Honolulu

They woke up lazily together and enjoyed the feel and warmth of the other.  It was good to have nothing that they had to do.  They could plan the day as they went.

First they did some more shopping.  It was mostly window shopping because they didn’t have anything they specifically wanted.  But Tina did find a light robe that she liked.

“What do you think?” she asked, holding it up for Bette’s approval.

“It’s kind offlowery,” observed Bette, looking at the wild Hawaiian pattern.

    “You hate it.”

“Well, I promise to try not to tease you about it when we get back home.  The operative word is “try,” grinned Bette as Tina walked off to make the purchase.

After dropping off their packages at the hotel, they began to drive around the island.  They stopped several times when they saw beautiful beaches and just strolled along them.  It was the aimless stroll done by people in love who don’t have to think about anything except being in love.

They lingered on the north side of the island where they saw large waves rolling toward the beaches.  And in that area they stopped at another simple restaurant which turned out to be very good.

“We have been so lucky finding great places to eat,” enthused Tina as they left the restaurant.

Bette smiled, but was quiet, and Tina caught it.

“You knew about these places in advance.  Didn’t you?” asked Tina.

“Yeah,” Bette smile was larger.  “I mostly used the internet.”

“What if I hadn’t wanted to come to the north side of the island?” asked Tina curiously.

“I had several other places staked out.”

    “You are so smug.”

    “True.”

After some more aimless, but happy, exploration of Oahu, Bette asked Tina what she wanted to do that night.

“You mean, Ms. Tour Guide, that you don’t have something planned?” teased Tina.

“I have several options for you, but if you have found something in those brochures you picked up, we can do that,” answered Bette amiably.

“I have a request,” said Tina.

    Bette smiled at her wife.

    1. Soo sweet of Bette to research the best restaurants for T! And now we know that T is definitely a “T” girl!! HAHAHAHAHA Also loved the postcard to Alice. :D Great chapter, pancha!

    2. When you said Tee’s peeping Bette, I was kind of reminded of a little tiny mouse peeping some cheese. Tina’s really like a pinky mouse in most time in Season Two.
