What is love? – Chapter 38

“I want to go to the Bouncing Coconuts,” said Tina, referring to the topless ***** hula bar in Honolulu that Alice had told them about.

“What?  You want to go to a titties bar?” asked Bette, unbelieving.

“Hula dancing is artistic.  You know how you like dance.  And you always say how artistic the nude human body is.”

“Artistic, my hind foot.  It’s a titties bar.”

    “You have something against titties?”

“It probably doesn’t exist.  You know Al.”

“It does exist.  I asked the concierge.”

“Oh, *****,” moaned Bette.  “Now he will think we’re a couple of dirty young women.”

“Actually, I’m the only dirty young woman.  You, Mrs. Porter, are turning into a prudish, old married lady.”

“I am not,” Bette retorted quickly.

“We’re not going to fight, are we?”

     Bette shook her head.

    That night

Three hours later, they were at the Bouncing Coconuts, having showered and changed.

“Have to look our best,” Tina had trilled.

When they arrived at the club, they were escorted to ring-side seats.

“How did we get this table?” Bette asked curiously.

    “The concierge.

    “Never mind,” interrupted Bette.

As the show swayed on, they saw a dazzling display of *****, in number and shape and color.

“It’s every shape and color of ***** you can imagine, and then some,” observed Bette while looking at the latest hula line.

“It’s like a rainbow.” Tina smiled happily.

They watched solos, group dances, most to languid music.  One dance, however, was accompanied by loud, throbbing drums.

“I didn’t know you could do the hula so fast,” observed Bette.  “Do you suppose any of those women hurt themselves?”

Then came the grand finale, the piece de resistance, so to speak.  The woman was tall, dark-skinned, beautiful and endowed.  She had dark, curly hair and, Tina thought, looked a lot like Bette.   Her ***** seemed to point somewhat upward.

“Those can’t be real,” said Bette, skeptically.

    “I don’t care.”

But Tina had been mostly quiet, mesmerized actually.  As they watched the dancers, she thought about how much she wanted to get Bette back to the hotel.  She resolved that for the rest of the honeymoon that she would try to keep Bette topless as often as possible.

During the evening Bette noticed that Tina often, but furtively, glanced at her bosom.  Bette smiled a small, wicked smile, but pretended that she hadn’t noticed what Tina was doing.

When they got back to their room, Bette hardly had time to put down her purse before Tina was removing her blouse and bra.  Bette held Tina’s head as she made love to Bette’s *****.

Soon they were in bed, but Tina remained in charge and Bette was so breathless that she couldn’t take control.  Actually, she didn’t want to.

Finally, Bette managed to persuade Tina to leave her ***** and complete the lovemaking.  She reluctantly removed her hand from Bette’s upper body and slid it down her stomach.

The next morning a postcard with a photograph of coconut trees slid down the mail chute at the Kamehameha.  It was addressed to Alice Pieczecki in Los Angeles.   It contained a five-line message and was unsigned.

There once were two gals from LA,

who truly were pretty damn *****.

    They avoided snits,

    ’cause they saw lotsa *****,

    At the Coconuts bar yesterday.

    2. When you said Tee’s peeping Bette, I was kind of reminded of a little tiny mouse peeping some cheese. Tina’s really like a pinky mouse in most time in Season Two.
