Tina: Well this is my friend Bette I told you I work with her.

Charlie: Oh so THIS is her? Hello Bette. he reaches out his and to shake Bettes

Bette shakes hands with him then turns to me saying I better go now and she leaves out my front door.

CHAPTER SIX

I stood in front of my husband stunned at what had just happened. I really felt bad that Bette left so quickly and wanted to run out right after her but what would my husband think? What is he thinking now what am I gonna say to him? (She is just nervous cause you almost caught us kiissing) somehow I don’t think that would go over too well think Tina THINK.

Charlie: So what’s up with her? Why did she leave so suddenly?

Tina: We had a disagreement about something and she is upset with me. (hope he buys it?)

Charlie: Oh! I hope you girls will be able to work it out.

Tina: Yes me too. (good I think it worked.)

Charlie moves closer and wraps his arms around me pulling me towards him.

Charlie: I missed you today.

He gently places his lips against mine for a kiss and I know I am in trouble as my mind starts wondering what if my husband hadn’t come home just then? I return his kiss and he pulls away.

Charlie: I really need a shower why don’ t you meet me in our room?

Tina: Okay I will be there as soon as I clean up the living room.

I grab the two glasses off the coffee table and bring them to the kitchen dump out the liquid then place them in the sink. I walk back to the living room and look at the bowl that still has some popcorn in it. smiling to myself I remember how our hands touched as we were reaching for the snack. I dunno what I am going to do. I take the bowl to the kitchen and put the left over treat into a plastic ziplock bag then I wash the bowl and 2 glasses. I finish up by vaccuming the living room. I head for the bedroom. I slowly open the door and walk in finding Charlie fast asleep in the bed I cover him with the blanket and leave the room. I decide to give Bette a call.
