    When Hope Is Lost

She spends time with Ozzie once they arrive home as his presence in her life means so much to her. She’s become such a good mom with him. It’s a mutual love-fest. They were made for each other.

She is so different than who she was when she lived here. I couldn’t believe the many changes that I observed in her but she is happy within her self and with being a mom and a good one at that.”

“Kit, please tell me honestly… Do you think that she’ll give me another chance to get it right with her?”

“Honestly, I can tell you this… She was in shock when I first broke the news to her about her impending motherhood with you. But I could see over the weekend while I was there, she was softening to the idea. During our last conversation, she shared that she knew that I was right in her asking you to do what you did. Her weekend was so filled with surprises that she felt the need to come back to her center before she could add on one more thing. I think that that was her way of telling me that she heard my words. I think things are looking up.”

“Really? Oh, my, God, I can’t believe that. Oh, Kit, thank you for assisting us both. I so want her back in my life and to enjoy a healthier relationship this time. So, tell me about him.”

“Well, surprisingly, Ozzie looks like her. He says God made it that way so that they could find and recognize each other. Honestly, I feel that he’s an earth angel because he is love in everything that he does. You feel it when you’re in his space; it’s that strong. I’ve never experienced that in my life with anyone. And, fortunately, he loves me as he calls me AuKi. I hope you get to meet him, as you’ll love him, too.

He was born with a mild case of cerebral palsy but doesn’t let it get in his way with living his life to the fullest. Ozzie’s six and in the first grade. He loves school, reading, painting and his mom. He’s thrilled that he now has four grandmothers and some aunties and uncles. He’s a brilliant kid and you can see that when he moves about in the world and talks with you.
