Tina managed to take her eyes away from the breathtaking sight of the twinkling city lights and the way they reflected over the black ocean, dancing together in a way she had never seen before.

She looked back to an equally breathtaking sight, the beautiful brunette sitting across from her. It was then that Tina realized Bette had been staring at her, the knowledge causing a blush to warm her cheeks.

"What?" She asked shyly as a wide smile spread across her face, her blush darkening her cheeks. She looked down shyly and Bette thought it was the sweetest thing ever, a wide smile stretching across her lips as well.

"Nothing just . . admiring the view" Bette winked, her elbows on the table and her hands folded under her chin.

"Well stop, you’re making me blush" Tina teased as she covered her face and chuckled into her hands.

"I like when you blush"

Tina lowered her hands with a smile that would not fade, pressing her lips together in an attempt to keep it from getting any bigger. Her face was already sore.

"Bette, this place is amazing" Tina said with hopes to take the attention off herself, she could only imagine how red her cheeks were.

She looked around at the other tables around them, all set romantically with loving couples occupying each of the seats. She looked back out to the ocean and the way the boat they were currently on cruised smoothly along the water, the city of Los Angeles perfectly in sight.

"I’m glad you like it. I was hoping you would"

"Are you kidding?" Tina shook her head incredulously, "This is the most romantic date I’ve ever been on. Its perfect. I’ll never forget it"

"Well I hope not" Bette teased as she raised her champagne glass for a sip, "I put a lot of thought into this date, you know"

A breath of laughter escaped Tina and she shook her head once more at the playful brunette.

"I don’t deserve it"

Bette placed her champagne glass back down on the table, "I think you’re the one who’s kidding now. You deserve this and so much more"
