Tina could do nothing but smile and shake her head, still in a bit of disbelief that she had someone so wonderful in her life. Someone who was actually treating her the way she had always wanted. She was so incredibly in love with Bette that sometimes the feeling was overwhelming.

Bette placed her hands on the table, palms up and waited for Tina to place her own hands on top. She closed her fingers around the soft hands and looked deep into Tina’s beautiful hazel eyes.

"You are . . the most amazing person I have ever met. You have this passion for life that’s nothing like anything I’ve ever seen. You have such a kind, beautiful heart and everyday I’m incredibly grateful to have place in it"

Tina glanced down shyly once more before lifting her head to meet Bette’s eyes again, a bright smile permanently stretching across her lips.

"I think about when we first met and how you were doing such an incredible thing on your own and I remember just hating that fact but then I don’t know, I was . . glad because that meant that I could be there for you. I could do it all with you"

"How did I get so lucky?" Tina shook her head, her body tingling as she felt Bette’s thumbs stroke the back of her hands.

Bette sighed and shook her head, "I don’t know, I think I’m the lucky one. You and Angie . . are my life. I don’t know what I would do without either one of you"

"And I don’t know where we would be without you" Tina leaned forward to place a tender kiss on each of Bette’s hands, letting her lips linger over the soft skin.

"You know its funny" Bette smiled, shaking her head softly. "Even though this, what I have with you, is something I’ve always
secretly wanted . . I never thought I would actually get it. I never
thought it would happen for me but then you show up when I least expect
it and I couldn’t be happier. I love you so much, Tina"
