“Tina, I am so tired of coming home to an empty house. I know that we have only known each other for a mere seven days, but I have never been so sure of you, of us. I know that there will be days were things will go wrong, but as long as we put each other first, our love will keep us strong. I want to spend my life with you. I want to make a home with you; start a family with you. I . . . I need to be with you. I love you”. Tina is speechless for several minutes for she lost her voice and because of it, Bette takes it as rejection. “I guess the answer is no” and disappointedly rises from the sofa. “Are you ready to go home?” Tina witnesses the hurt buried deep within Bette’s eyes and doesn’t move. Tina thinks, ‘I could never cause this woman any harm. I have loved her from the beginning and know I will love her to the end. She makes me happy. She is all that I need in my life’. Tina finally speaks reassuringly, “I’m already home”. Bette didn’t say anything as she kneed in front of Tina, to rest her head in Tina’s lap, to surround Tina’s waist within her arms. Tina leaned forward to place her head against Bette’s.
“I love you Tina”.
“I know”.
Chapter 9
It has been a glorious year since that forever changing Sunday evening; an interlude whereby Bette bared her hollow soul, for her heart depended on the fulfillment of love that only Tina could provide. Bette and Tina created a residence decorated with the combination of their individual personalities and their shared interests; a dwelling filled with love, trust and excited anticipation for the unforeseen future. Neither could have been happier for their lives had already journeyed half of a circle; a semi circle to be completed entirely with a futuristic family of sons and daughters. Bette and Tina’s intertwined lives was the beginning of an unwritten fairy tale; a never ending story illustrating an authentic portrayal of true essence and happiness, peace be still. Bette was going to propose to Tina that they make their relationship a permanent one, but was patiently waiting for the right moment, Tina’s birthday.

Hooolly shit!!!!! Bette has got to be nuts I would have knocked that kids ass out and drag him to safety. Now I can only hope that your not doing the Ghost scenario and Bette is still alive but since the story is entitled Wings of an Angel I don’t have much hope otherwise.

I finally got finished with your story up to this point. All of it is so intense I swear it’s like being in a marathon and I have to keep stopping so I can breathe. Obviously I am wishing for a happy ending and am sticking to my idea that Kyle is the angel mentioned in the title.
