    Chapter 34 One month later. Treatment is done and it’s time for her test to see if the cancer is still in remission after the radiation. Bette has been on edge for a few days now and Tina is doing her best to calm her down. Angie is busy with school and work and Jordi.

    Chapter 34

    One month later. Treatment is done and it’s time for her test to see if the cancer is still in remission after the radiation. Bette has been on edge for a few days now and Tina is doing her best to calm her down. Angie is busy with school and work and Jordi.

    “Bette, can you please calm down?” Tina asks as she takes a hold of Bette’s hands to get her attention.

    “I can’t help it Tee. I’ve had a bad feeling for days now. I can’t seem to relax.” Bette replies.

    “Babe, it will be okay. You’re in remission, cancer is gone. I am 100 % sure of it. Just please try to calm down. Please?” Tina pleads as she leans her forehead against Bette’s.

    “I’m sorry. I will try.” Bette whispers back.

    “We’ll have the results tomorrow morning.” Tina says.

    Just then, Angie comes barging through the front door.

    “Hi moms.” She says with a smile on her face.

    “Hi sweetie.” Both moms reply.

    “Can I stay at Jordi’s tonight?” Angie asks as she stops in front of Bette and Tina, sitting at the kitchen table.

    “Sure. Are you finished with homework and school related things?” Tina asks.

    “Yes. I finished it at school in the last class. All good to go.” Angie replies with a grin.

    “Okay then. It’s okay. You can stay with Jordi, as long as her parents are okay with it.” Tina says.

    “They are cool.” Angie replies. “I’ll just go upstairs and pack a small bag and what I’ll need for classes tomorrow.” Angie says as she runs upstairs.

    “I keep asking myself, when did she grow up…” Bette says softly, looking towards where Angie disappeared to.

    “I do that too sometimes.” Tina agrees. “Do you ever regret having only 1 child?” Tina asks carefully.

    “No. I mean, I would’ve loved to have at least one more, so Angie could have a sister or brother, but… it didn’t work out that way for us. And I think we were only meant to have one. One angel to brighten our lives…” Bette says as she turns her head towards Tina with a soft smile.

    “Yeah?” Tina whispers back, one single tear falling from her left eye.

      Glad that Bette seems okay and the radiation will go on as scheduled…. I look forward to her recovering from this completely and regaining her energy and balance.

      Bette and Tina have a life to rebuild and that is going to take some time and energy…

    3. Welcome back! This is very exciting! I am so happy just to see your name. And I totally agree with Martha. Hoping for the day when this dreaded disease is behind Bette. Glad she has Tina. I think it’s interesting that they are watching the Foster’s. Good choice! So Bette is nervous and Tina is confident. Feel so sorry for Bette. Two days will be an eternity.

    4. So excited to see an update today! Then I realized it is the same as previous chapter. No worries. I know there have been some problems with posting stories. I do hope there is an update soon.

    6. I do not know how this happened, but my Chapter 33 comments are on Chapter 34….

      This chapter the final radiation has taken place and now they are testing to see if more treatment is needed. Bette is nervous and Tina is trying to keep her calm….

      They are getting closer…. but Bette is still in recovery mode and therefore probably doesn’t want to stress over her and Tina’s relationship. It really isn’t time for her to talk about their problems and why Tina left the relationship. But sooner or later, that is something they will need to discuss.

      I really hope Bette is in full remission and can slowly work on her overall health and the relationship between her and Tina.

      The Fosters, somehow i never had interest to watch that show, maybe i will watch it in the future.

      I hope you will find the balance between work, your spare free time and writing this great story!
