“Tee…” Bette says as she uses her thumb to dry the tear away.
“I’m okay. I just get sad sometimes. Thinking about the little boy we lost. And about also not being able to give Angie a sibling like you said. How close we came to adopt. You have so much love to give. That child would’ve been so lucky.” Tina says with a smile.
“Don’t sell yourself short Tee. You also have a huge amount of love to give. I feel it every second of every minute or every day.” Bette says, giving Tina’s hand a loving squeeze.
“I just lost sight of that for a while. But you helped me back, you helped me find it again. And I will never lose sight of it again.” Tina says as she leans in for a soft and loving kiss. “I love you.” She adds.
“And I love you.” Bette replies.
Just then Angie comes back down.
“Okay moms, I’m leaving. I’ll be home after school tomorrow. Game night?” Angie suggests.
“Sounds good. You in Tee?” Bette asks, looking at Tina.
“I’m in. Food of choice? I’ll make dinner.” Tina replies.
“Can I think about it? I’ll text you tomorrow morning?” Angie asks.
“Sure sweetie.” She replies. “Have fun at Jordi’s.” Both Bette and Tina calls after Angie as she’s leaving the house. Jordi had come to pick her up.
“I don’t know about you, but I am hungry. Shall I make us something?” Tina asks as she stands up and walks over to the fridge to look through what she can make with what they have.
“I am a little hungry yes. What about grilled ham sandwich? It’s easy and good.” Bette suggests. “And quick.” She adds.
“Sure. Why don’t you go sit down in the living room and find us a movie or a series and I’ll bring food with me in a few minutes.” Tina suggests.
“Sounds good.” Bette says.
A few hours later they had finished a few episodes of The Fosters. Tina had told Bette about this show before, but she had never gotten into watching it. Tina had also not seen it, just a few snippets here and there. Not often there’s a show or movie about a loving and happy lesbian couple that actually stays together. Most of the representation ends up either broken up or divorced. So, The Fosters are a great exception from that.

Glad that Bette seems okay and the radiation will go on as scheduled…. I look forward to her recovering from this completely and regaining her energy and balance.
Bette and Tina have a life to rebuild and that is going to take some time and energy…

Welcome back! This is very exciting! I am so happy just to see your name. And I totally agree with Martha. Hoping for the day when this dreaded disease is behind Bette. Glad she has Tina. I think it’s interesting that they are watching the Foster’s. Good choice! So Bette is nervous and Tina is confident. Feel so sorry for Bette. Two days will be an eternity.
So excited to see an update today! Then I realized it is the same as previous chapter. No worries. I know there have been some problems with posting stories. I do hope there is an update soon.

I do not know how this happened, but my Chapter 33 comments are on Chapter 34….
This chapter the final radiation has taken place and now they are testing to see if more treatment is needed. Bette is nervous and Tina is trying to keep her calm….
They are getting closer…. but Bette is still in recovery mode and therefore probably doesn’t want to stress over her and Tina’s relationship. It really isn’t time for her to talk about their problems and why Tina left the relationship. But sooner or later, that is something they will need to discuss.

The chapter I read over the weekend (May 15 or 16) is missing… I think that was chapter 34 and this is chapter 35….

I really hope Bette is in full remission and can slowly work on her overall health and the relationship between her and Tina.
The Fosters, somehow i never had interest to watch that show, maybe i will watch it in the future.
I hope you will find the balance between work, your spare free time and writing this great story!
