    Thinking Back. Chapter 6

    “I’ll tell you what Bette.”

Uh oh I thought to myself. This sounds like an ultimatum or something.

“Even though I am in no fast hurry to find out about my past, and try to remember anything about it, I will try harder if you will take the time to open up to me……I think that maybe we can help each other here…You have pushed your past to the back of your mind, and hell….I cant remember mine…..so we are meant to be together……I mean we are meant to be friends…..”

I turned my head to the side, and sighed aloud. I thought I was done with that shit so long ago. Pushing it to the back of my mind has worked for me all these years, although it has affected me in different ways…..

“Ok. Deal.” I say, just feeling that in some way I was going to regret agreeing to this…..

“K..” Tina said softly. “I have a favor to ask…”

“And what would that be?” I ask hesitantly….

“Could we go by my house and get all of the photo albums and drive up the coast….there has to be somewhere that we can go and sit…..and look at all of the pictures…..maybe I will remember something….”

“Sure…..that sounds like a great idea Tina.” I agreed as I put the car in gear and we drive to her home to get the pictures……we were almost there when we noticed a police car in the driveway. I pulled up and parked at the end of the driveway. Tina immediately got out of the car, and rushed to the front door, me hot on her heels……she flung the front door opened…. “What is going on?” she yelled loudly.

“Um. Darling.” started Mr. Kennard. “Why don’t you come over here and sit down?”

“No, I am just fine right here…..now tell me what the hell is going on?” she asked again….

The officers were standing around and staring at the other family members…..and I was wondering who the fuck was going to speak first……

“Um.” I spoke up….. “Could someone please say something…..”

“Tina, what are your plans for tonight?” asked Mr. Kennard.

“Bette and I were coming by here to get all of the picture books and we were gonna drive up the coast and find a place to sit and talk….”

    1. Thank you for the update. I think Bette should have stayed at least at her house with an armed policeman. What if Eric followed them up the coast? No one nearby knows what’s going on. I hope her and Tina get a chance to get closer though. That police officer was out of line…Bette can still be considered helping Tina remember and get on her feet (that’s what her office does right…she could have been doing a followup on her client) The officer acted like they were having a romantic interlude right in front of him. Had Bette been a man…he probably wouldn’t have warned her like that.

    2. Tina is extremely lucky to have some one like Bette look after her. Eric is an evil person and needs to be stopped. It would be nice for Tina to get her memories back and to put Eric where he belongs, in jail/prison.

    3. Wow…wow…WOW! Can’t wait to see the next post! The police officer was reacting too strongly, yet Bette is also flirting with danger based on her feelings for Tina and the situation of an angry boyfriend! Can’t wait to see how you sort this out for us!
