    Soul Mates – Chapter 2

"Let me see it! Let me see it!"

Tina’s mother screamed excitedly as Tina herself laughed and extended her left hand. Her mother took her hand and jumped up and down, making Tina laugh again.

"Oh my God! Would you look at the size of that thing? Paul! Come here and take a look at this!"

Tina’s smile widened as her father made his way over to them, bending down to look at the engagement ring that made his eyes widen.

He whistled, "Wow, that Helena has really good taste"

Tina chuckled and nodded, "She really does, doesn’t she?"

Reuniting with her parents wasn’t as bad as Tina thought it was going to be. So much time had passed that they were much too happy to see her than to care about anything else. Standing there in the living room, feeling a familiar warmth, Tina realized just how much she missed her parents.

They were far from bad people regardless of their disapproving of Bette. Like every set of parents, they only wanted what was best for their daughter. Tina just wished that back then, they could have seen what she saw.

As Paul left for work, Tina’s mother grabbed Tina’s hand and pulled her toward the couch to sit.

"So tell me, have you two set a date yet?"

"Well, Helena wants a fall weddin’ but we’re still discussin’ it, I have some things to take care of before we walk down the isle"

Tina’s mother raised an eyebrow and looked at her daughter with confusion, "Things that are more important than your own weddin’?"

Tina nodded hesitantly, debating if whether or not she should tell her mom that she and Bette were still married. Finally she decided against it, deeming it not worth the headache. Besides, Bette was going to sign the papers when Tina got back so there really was no point.

Realizing her mom was waiting for an explanation, Tina cleared her throat nervously.

"Well my latest line is bein’ featured in a fashion show that’s going on around that time. I’ve been working so hard on it so I really want to see it through. I also wanted to tell you and daddy in person about Helena"

    1. Hey doll!!!! Awesome update as usual. I’m happy to read that you’re using other villains from the show. I couldn’t stand Adele the most. Maybe Adele could have a part-time job as a poop-scooper for a pig farm or something. Anyway, I wasnt confused by anything. I am like that dog who is just happy to see you when you get home regardless of whether you’re screaming at them to get away. Attention to happiness 😍 thanks Liah!!! Have fun at your quin-I don’t know how to spell it. Make sure you dance with Jane 😝

    2. Hey, despite your long and pretty frequent posts, its never enough for me! I’ve checked a few times today to see if you have posted the next chapter, but alas, not yet…please don’t leave me hanging long. Love the premise and the way you write them. Great story telling, with very believable characters. Lots more please. x

    3. More power to Bette for seeing her “old” Tina in the “new” one, cuz I’d be runnin’ for the hills to get away from her. Yeesh. (Never saw the movie, but I know the premise from friends who did.) You’re making it an entertainingly bumpy ride!

    4. +Loved the chapter. Damn, they still love and want each other very much. Tina knopws she wants Bette and not Helena. Hell, she cringes every time Helena touches her. What more does she need to convince her? To hell with what her parents want, the heart wants what it wants. And that is Bette. Whatever happened to the board they had shells on, did Bette keep it? Thanks for posting.

    5. By some strange coincidence on the day that you posted this chapter, I was at the library returning some dvds and hadn’t planned on getting any to take, but just out of curiousity went down the aisles to see what was on display. And what did I see front and center? You got it, “Sweet Home Alabama.” Since you first posted your story I’d been wanting to watch the movie again. Thx for this latest…I’m curious to find out what you have B doing that’s earned her SO much money!
