    Soul Mates – Chapter 2

    "Alright, if you say so"

Tina let out a small sigh of her own. What look in her eye? If anything the look she had was of anger because her stubborn ass of a wife wouldn’t sign the damn divorce papers. Which reminded her, she had to get back even though she doubted Bette would keep up her end of the bargain. The brunette was just as good a liar as Tina was. No matter, Tina would do whatever she had to do. All is fair in love and war right?

Tina lightly slapped her hands on her thighs, "I gotta get goin’, Momma. I’m uh . . I’m gonna see some old friends before I head back home"

Tina’s mother nodded with sadness, wishing her daughter would stay longer. Her eyes widened as she jumped up from the couch and grabbed an envelope from the coffee table.

"Oh wait before you go, your father was supposed to take this down to the post office for me. Since he’s gone, could you do me the favor and mail it?"

Tina pursed her lips slightly, not really liking the idea of running an errand but she didn’t want to deny her mother. She smiled.

    "Sure"

    *****

Tina slowly walked along the strip of shops, admiring the calm atmosphere and all the memories that came alone with the scenery. It felt like a lifetime since she walked those streets but thankfully, everything was just as she remembered.

Tina heard the sound of a soft engine, a car was about to pass by.

"Daaaamn! Ain’t you just the prettiest thing?"

Tina’s smile fell at the sound of a feminine voice, at least it sounded feminine anyway. She rolled her eyes, ignoring the annoying comments coming from somewhere on her right.

"Oh come on now hot stuff. You know you wanna come over here so I can rock your world"

Tina’s eyes knitted together as she shook her head in disbelief, wanting to laugh at how terrible those pickup lines were but kept a straight face.

    Who talks like that?

Tina sighed and just wished the person would go away, the post office was still a few blocks away.

    1. Hey doll!!!! Awesome update as usual. I’m happy to read that you’re using other villains from the show. I couldn’t stand Adele the most. Maybe Adele could have a part-time job as a poop-scooper for a pig farm or something. Anyway, I wasnt confused by anything. I am like that dog who is just happy to see you when you get home regardless of whether you’re screaming at them to get away. Attention to happiness 😍 thanks Liah!!! Have fun at your quin-I don’t know how to spell it. Make sure you dance with Jane 😝

    2. Hey, despite your long and pretty frequent posts, its never enough for me! I’ve checked a few times today to see if you have posted the next chapter, but alas, not yet…please don’t leave me hanging long. Love the premise and the way you write them. Great story telling, with very believable characters. Lots more please. x

    3. More power to Bette for seeing her “old” Tina in the “new” one, cuz I’d be runnin’ for the hills to get away from her. Yeesh. (Never saw the movie, but I know the premise from friends who did.) You’re making it an entertainingly bumpy ride!

    4. +Loved the chapter. Damn, they still love and want each other very much. Tina knopws she wants Bette and not Helena. Hell, she cringes every time Helena touches her. What more does she need to convince her? To hell with what her parents want, the heart wants what it wants. And that is Bette. Whatever happened to the board they had shells on, did Bette keep it? Thanks for posting.

    5. By some strange coincidence on the day that you posted this chapter, I was at the library returning some dvds and hadn’t planned on getting any to take, but just out of curiousity went down the aisles to see what was on display. And what did I see front and center? You got it, “Sweet Home Alabama.” Since you first posted your story I’d been wanting to watch the movie again. Thx for this latest…I’m curious to find out what you have B doing that’s earned her SO much money!
