At first glance around the gallery, Tina had been amazed, and then for a while she thought she was getting used to it all – until she was amazed again.
There before her stood a beautiful brunette, having strayed from the crowd to enjoy an original piece in a side-room. It was a little darker there, and Tina let herself lean against the wall, admiring not the art, but the woman. Bette was magnificent in all her broody concentration.
“Nice place, right?”
Bette was interrupted from her thoughts at Tina’s voice, startled only to be settled again. Smiling back at her lover. The game was amusing following all the stress she’d been through to pull the show together – and it was getting late. “Yeah.”
“Have you seen the woman of the hour?” Tina teased quietly, standing up to drift over toward Bette. “I hear she’s sexy as hell, and even more devilish.”
Bette laughed for a moment, looking down to her glass of white wine.
“What is it, hunny? You look so exhausted? Is it just the show?”
“Yes,” Bette sighed, trying to massage out a kink in her neck as Tina came a little closer.
“You know I’d be more than happy to work that out for you, right?”
The smile returned before Bette could even realize it for herself, pleasing Tina with her instant happiness. “Is that right?”
Tina nodded, taking a sip of her own drink as she studied Bette for a moment. “Are you upset that … she didn’t show?” Helena hadn’t shown up.
“I … kind of expected it, actually. She’s not known for dropping by gallery showings. Her mother is really more the art aficionado.”
“You want me to get you some more wine?” Tina offered quite simply, reaching for Bette’s glass. She was just honored to have been on the invitation – that Bette thought so highly of her, and so invested in their relationship.
“No, let me,” Bette insisted, gesturing over to the painting. “This one’s really something, I find … and I’d like you to actually be able to enjoy some of the art, and not have to tend to me all night as if I were some sort of child. You already have one of those, if I’m not mistaken.”

Poor Bette, Tina cut off her sexual inspiration ha!I seriously think it must be VERY frustrating and sad for Bette have all these sexual fantasies and desires to try new things with Tina(the woman she loves and with whom is getting married!!)and find that she is not into that or that she doesn’t like.I know not to force anyone to do what she doesn’t want but i just hope that for Bette well being (mental and sexual)Tina keep it an open mind and really try it ha! GREAT AND REALISTIC WRITING PPVS!

Thank you for the update. Great story! I love the openness and honesty that Bette and Tina share. It’s great that they don’t play the stupid games with each other. Hopefully they’ll continue down the right path with one another.

OOps! I forgot to mention that realistic conversation they had about each others sexual preferences. Like real lovers. With consideration of each other. I don’t think I’ve read such an exchange on this site in such a realistic manner not in the throes of passion. Well done and stated.
Can this story get any better than this? Beautifully told.It all seems so real not over the top but still romantic and exciting.
