Tina chuckled, “That’s personal information, Ms. Porter!” Calling out after Bette gave her another set of giggles even after she was left all alone, startled when another voice interrupted the silence.
“So, you’re with her?”
She nearly bit her tongue as she turned swiftly on her heels to look across the room at Helena. Dressed in the most expensive dress she could find, surely. It looked as bright as if it were made out of gold. It was certainly distracting, and Tina’s mind drifted to any dramatic turn in movies she’d seen. Well, sometimes, she figured, life imitates art.
Tina frowned for a moment. “You’re … here?”
“I just came, yes,” Helena admitted, crossing her arms as she kept her distance between them, knowing Bette would soon return. “I’ve only dropped in to say a quick hello, don’t be frightened.”
“I’m not.”
“Oh?” Helena smiled, “And what about the last time you saw me then?”
“Different circumstances, I’d say,” Tina offered, crossing her arms again and cocking her head to the side, waiting for Helena’s response. Once-friends were eyeing each other up, thinking back to old times – better times, when they were happy to see one another. When they would go out for drinks and giggle in the cab all the way to their respective places.
Bette came back, interrupting their silence. She was holding two glasses of white wine, a tense scowl on her face when she noted Helena’s arrival. She quickly made her way across the room to Tina, handing her the drink to turn back to the filthy rich brunette, just staring back at her. There was jealousy in those piercing eyes, as subtle as it may have been.
“Helena … I see you’ve made it.”
“I wanted to say hello to an old friend,” the woman answered, looking a little sadly down to the floor, and then back up to Tina. “It’s been a long time … too long.”
Not long enough, Bette thought, biting back any responses she might have liked to growl back. Instead, she opted for a more respectable tone. “Tina’s told me all about you … I had no idea the two of you were friends.” But her eyes communicated something very different, and Helena read the message loud and clear: This is my girlfriend, and I don’t take kindly to intimidation. Don’t test me.

Poor Bette, Tina cut off her sexual inspiration ha!I seriously think it must be VERY frustrating and sad for Bette have all these sexual fantasies and desires to try new things with Tina(the woman she loves and with whom is getting married!!)and find that she is not into that or that she doesn’t like.I know not to force anyone to do what she doesn’t want but i just hope that for Bette well being (mental and sexual)Tina keep it an open mind and really try it ha! GREAT AND REALISTIC WRITING PPVS!

Thank you for the update. Great story! I love the openness and honesty that Bette and Tina share. It’s great that they don’t play the stupid games with each other. Hopefully they’ll continue down the right path with one another.

OOps! I forgot to mention that realistic conversation they had about each others sexual preferences. Like real lovers. With consideration of each other. I don’t think I’ve read such an exchange on this site in such a realistic manner not in the throes of passion. Well done and stated.
Can this story get any better than this? Beautifully told.It all seems so real not over the top but still romantic and exciting.
