    “I forget what it’s like seeing you on stage. You were amazing.” Bette informed her older sister.

    “Do you want to come up to my suite?” Kit looked at her watch. “It’s pretty late. Why don’t you spend the night? I have a two bedroom suite.”

     

     

    Chapter 13

     

    The three women reminisced well into the night. It was past two in the morning when Tina called it quits. “I give.” Tina stood. She walked over to Kit. “Thanks, Kit, for letting us stay. Let me leave you two alone to you can catch up with one another.” Tina bent down to give Kit a kiss on the cheek. “Good night.”

     

    Bette stood and walked Tina to the bedroom where she would be sleeping. It had been decided earlier that Bette was going to sleep with Kit. “Are you okay?” she asked.

     

    “Yeah, just tired.” Tina tried to hold back a yawn. “The past couple of days are finally catching up with me.”  Tina covered her mouth. “Excuse me. How about you? Are you okay? No chest pain or anything like that?”

     

    Bette shook her head. “No, none.” She released Tina’s hand. “Are you going to be okay in there?” Bette gestured to the bedroom.

     

    Tina smiled. “Yes, I’ll be fine. Go spend time with Kit. I know she’s anxious to talk to you.”

     

    “Okay, goodnight.” The two women gave each other a kiss on the cheek. “T, wait…” Bette walked over to the couch and picked up the small shopping bag which contained a new pair of pajamas and toiletries she and Tina had purchased at the boutique before heading to Kit’s suite. She walked over to Tina and handed her the bag. “Here you go.”

     

    Tina took the bag from Bette. “Goodnight again.”

     

    “Goodnight, T.” Bette stayed by the door until she heard the click of the door and turned to the living room. She joined Kit on the couch and let out a breath as she did so.

     

    “Thanks for taking it easy on Tina, Kit.” Bette took her sister’s hand in hers, giving it a squeeze.

     

    “Baby sis, I sure hope you know what you’re doing,” she paused. “I really thought you’d moved on with Andrea. The two of were getting along so well.”

    4. Great update! Bette should spend the night with Tina, not Kit. Especially since it is something they both want. And no one, not anyone else can say “come here” quite like Tina. Hopefully Laurel has found someone in her private life to say that phrase to as much as possible. Happy Thanksgiving!
