Nobis Pacem Chapter 3
I walked to the DJ, thinking “I suppose I couldn’t do any worse than Annie.”
I had the perfect song for this, so I told the DJ the song I wanted, and told him I would signal to him when I wanted him to turn off the main vocals of the track and turn on the backing vocals instead. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels like they need a release from the sexual tension Harley’s sexy dance had given everybody.
The introductory chords of the song began to play and I walked around the circle seated around the floor playfully, snapping my fingers, swaying my hips, bobbing up and down as I walked, raising my hands up, encouraging everyone to clap along with the beat, and then I sang as I stopped in front of Harley, “Mmm….I would take the stars out of the sky for you ….stop the rain from falling if you asked me to … I’d do anything you asked me to … I could move a mountain when your hand is in my hand …”
And then I winked at the DJ and called out “C’mon guys help me out here.”
A chorus of male voices joined me as a I crooned into the mike, as the DJ cut the main vocals out. I continued to dance and sway in front of Harley, and sang for real, “Ooohhh words cannot express how much you mean to me …there must be some other way to make you see ….if it takes my heart and soul you know I’d pay the price … everything that I possess I’d gladly sacrifice…”
The women were laughing so I called out, “Ladies, your turn.”
“Oh you to me are everything … the sweetest song that I could sing … oh baby, oh baby … to you I guess I’m just a clown who picks you up each time you’re down … oh baby…” the women in the group sang out with me.
By now all the guys had stood, and began to dance around me. They started pulling their partners up to join them in the easy, swing dance.
With a shake of her head, Harley stood also, and moved gracefully into my arms as we danced to the song, joining the rest of the group. But we moved rhythmically in a beat all our own.

I really like the characters and where this is going. I can really feel Aerin’s struggle.
