    Nobis Pacem Chapter 1

I dreaded to hear the end of this story. “So what happened?”

“So she did as I dared her to – she took an ice cube, and very slowly, and sexily, rubbed it up and down her neck, slipped it into her cleavage – she wore a lovely see-through Chanel blouse over a nude inner silk lingerie thing that day, elegant but very sexy – and then coated her lips with the ice cube before popping it into her mouth and sucking it.”

Jules covered her face, anticipating the ending of the story.

“The core group of bikers ran into the orange cones and crashed into each other while the pack of joggers ran off the trail and nearly ran into a tree, avoiding it at the last minute, but ended up tripping over each other’s feet, anyway, and falling or pushing each other to the ground.”

    I groaned. “Was anybody hurt?”

“I think more a case of bruised egos, all around, but it caused quite a commotion for about 15 minutes or so,” Diane shrugged.

I looked at Diane, a bit stunned, while Jules kept shaking her head. “D ….”

Diane pushed herself up, partly using Jules’ shoulders for leverage. “If you insist on trapping yourself in a game of numbers, here they are: she must be about seven years older than us, and around ten years older than you, Aerin. But if you don’t want to get trapped: just look at what you have with her. And at her! Geez! She is, as Jules said, smoking hot.”

“And crazy about you,” Diane added and then winked at me.

She picked up her briefcase, and tossed over her shoulder, “Now take some soup, already, and eat. I don’t want to see this tray full of food when I get back here after work alright?”

I thought about ducking into my apartment first before checking in on Aerin but a quick check of the time made me change my mind.

It was 7:30 pm already, and I’d remembered she’d mentioned possibly going to a party of some sort in someone’s duplex in the Upper East Side. That was good news! I didn’t remember her saying when she’d be going, though, so she may still be in?

      • Here in spirit. But this is about a few special L words that play out in a couple’s life in another part of town. In the fringes of the world of the series I’ve been writing; but different. Hope you like it.

    1. Will try this again. Left a message about 4:00 this morning and something happened, it’s not posted. My message was to thank you for posting such a beautiful love story. And that I hope this story will be continued we would like to know what happens to Aerin in the future. Thanks for sharing.

    2. Dainty, Hellbent, and new friends: thanks for the comments. Honestly: was tough to pull this together, but it was worth it. Am v glad you liked it. Ok. I hear you. It may take a while for an update on her story, but it will be coming.

      • Well this was a pleasant surprise. I am always seeking an episode from your creativity. So much, I had to buy a smaller electronic device so that I might read your input on the go. Now, for me buying another electronic anything is saying a lot. I am one of the “dial phone” “get up and change the channel” “do not Text me and expect an answer” old school DIE HARD. But, your writing genius persuaded me to become a mobile reader at my neighborhood “coffee house.” Please continue to write

    3. Beautiful story. I could feel Aerin’s struggle. I would love to read about the 18 months in between their first time and Chris’ final moments. I sure it would be moving.
