Spencer: Ow! Baby! What was that for?!?

I asked smiling although shocked. She giggled.

Ashley: Just letting you know that it is indeed for real and that you don’t ever have to second guess anything that involves me and you being together. Because yes many have called but the chosen one was you. Always and Forever.  

She said sweetly and I smiled, feeling a slight sting at my eyes.

Spencer: Thank you baby. But don’t think you’re not gonna pay for pinching me, later.

I said seductively and she raised her eyebrows.

Ashley: Promise?

She asked seductively as well.

Spencer: Oh yea.

I said running my foot up her leg and under her skirt. Her eyes fluttered shut. I wanted to play with her a bit but I glanced at the time and it read 12:00. Damn. I removed my foot and she groaned at the lack of contact and opened her eyes.

Spencer: As much as I would love to sit here and tease you I have to get you back because I have to be back at the court house in 15 minutes.

I said and she groaned. I asked for the check and paid for our lunch even though Ashley heavily protested. We rose from our seats and proceeded out of the restaurant. As we walked back to my car Ashley laced our fingers together and kissed the back of my hand.  I smiled at her. We reached my car and we both got in and made our way back to our perspective workplaces. I dropped her off at the precinct but not before she kissed me passionately. After that I sped back to the court house, praying to god I wouldn’t be late.

I made it just in time and made my way into the court house. I took a seat next to my colleagues as the case preceded.

Sheriff: All rise.

It was the moment I had been waiting months for. I had busted my ass on this case and I prayed it paid off.

Judge Harris: In the case of Zack Delatorre versus the state, have the jurors come to a decision?

He asked looking over towards the jurors that would be responsible for the fate of this dog’s life. The crowd of jurors shook their heads yes.
