“maybe because she’d be at homecoming in crutches and thinks you’ll be embarrassed of her?” he asked

“that’s not it…” I told him

“you know what I think?” he asked

“what?”

“I think if you don’t know why she did it, you shouldn’t rule out any possibilities” he told me then our teachers started class, and I couldn’t stop staring at spence…she’s all I ever think about, even if I’m mad at her I need to be around her…

Finally…it was Saturday and I was spending my senior homecoming with my two best friends, and the only other person I wanted there was Spencer. We were in the limo with our nice bottle of champagne that Aiden brought, and there were about eight people in the limo with us.

“cheer up dude…it’s our last homecoming” Aiden told me putting his arm around me

“sorry…I’ll be more fun when I can just dance like an idiot” I told him

“yeah…that’s what I’m talking about” he said laughing

Aiden decided to step up…so after school on Friday he went over to Spencer’s house, just to talk to her and stuff

“hey Aiden…” Spencer said answering the door

“hey…uh, you think we could talk?” he asked

“yeah…” she said opening the door letting him in, then she went into the living room and sat on the couch

“look, I know about homecoming…” he told her “…why’d you say no?”

“you really think Ashley is going to want to be there with her girlfriend that can’t dance? And who has a huge brace on her leg?” she asked him

“you know she doesn’t care about that…” he told her “and I know I’ve seemed like a huge jerk during all of this, but I’m a nice guy…just, for the sake of my best friend…please come tomorrow night…Ashley wants you there”

We got to the dance and basically the whole school was there and then Katie, Aiden and I ran into the middle of the dance floor and started going insane, Katie and I were of course getting all up on Aiden and he did not know what to do and we just laughed

“this is not fair” he said

“you love it!” Katie said and we all laughed then the song “Love Like This” by Natasha Bedingfield came on, then Katie looked behind me “I don’t believe it…” she said
