Kristen: Please just spare me the details and go on with what you were saying.

Ashley: Oh right, well anyways, she makes me feel these waves of intense emotions. For example, just the other day I pushed our kayaking instructor in the pool because I may have a got a little jealous that he was hitting on her. I had my reasons though. I was only trying to protect her and had it happened to anyone else besides Spencer, I could have cared a shit less. Let’s just say if Spencer was a drug then I’d be addicted, because she’s got me hooked to her like nobody ever has before.

Kristen: Sounds like somebody’s in love to me.

Ashley: Well if this is what love feels like, then I hope she feels the same way about me, because I don’t think I can live my life without her in it.

Kristen: Wow Ash, I’m really happy that you’ve finally found someone who can break down what I thought was an indestructible wall you had put up there for a while. I was really beginning to worry about you. Ever since the accident last year you haven’t quite been yourself.

My face hardened at Kristen’s comment.

Kristen: Ash I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have brought it up. I just figured you were passed it.

Ashley: No it’s no problem. It’s good to talk about it actually and that’s why I’m going to tell Spencer everything this afternoon. She should know, I don’t want to keep secrets from her.

Kristen: Yeah I guess you’re right and if she truly is the person you make her out to be then I’m sure she’ll understand.

Ashley: I don’t know. It’s not every day you find out your girlfriend suffers from severe depression.

Kristen: Ashley its okay-

Ashley: I’m not getting into this with you right now. I have class.

Thank god we were only about ten feet from the door, because I don’t think I could have handled a lecture from Kristen right about now. I walked into the small classroom and got settled in my usual seat in the back. The professor didn’t get too far into his lecture when I started to feel last night’s events begin to catch up with me. Allowing the weight of my head to slowly guide my cheek to the comfort of my desk, I drifted off to sleep.
