Give Up – (Chapter: Recycled Air)

"So Ashley meet the people who will be saving your ass on a daily basis." Everyone laughs at this comment, including myself. Starting on the far right Johnson points and says everyone’s name. "That’s Jeff, George, Melissa, Jason, Michael, Taylor, Sarah, and of course Courtney who you’ve already met."

"Hey everybody, its nice to meet you." Everyone in the room nods their head, or gives a small welcome to the team.

"All right, well lets not waste anymore time." Taking a step away from me Johnson pulls out something about the size of my thumbnail out of his pocket. "Ashley this is your earpiece in case anything goes wrong, or we need to communicate with you. Inside of it is a small tracking device. Also we have access to the clubs cameras and several of our people inside the club armed and looking for anything suspicious. Courtney and I will be outside watching the front entrance. Jason, Melissa, and Jeff will watch the back. As far as we know those are the only two entrances. So you should be pretty safe." I take the earpiece for him and carefully fit it into my ear.

"Okay everybody lets go." After everyone exits Johnson stops and puts his hand on my shoulder. "Ashley I hope you realize that you get one shot at this, the second Spencer suspects something that’s it you don’t get a second chance. So your positive you want Spencer to be your way in?"

I take a moment collect my thoughts before responding.

"If I want to get close to Arthur then Spencer is the way in. I mean think about it what kind of man at his status actually trusts his wife? And if I read the file correctly he and Clay aren’t that close. But Spencer, she’s daddy’s little girl. Fathers always want to meet the people their daughters are associating with. So trust me when I say, Spencer is the way in."

He lets out a chuckle and smile "You’ve really thought this through." The smile drops and is replaced with a serious tone. "Just remember she’s your way in, nothing more. Don’t let a pretty face make you forget that."

    1. Oh jesus christ. I hope there is just a family emergency and clay doesn’t know what Ashely is up to. This is so phucking great. I love thsi story. please post more soon. Im dying everysecond that u don’t post. :]

    2. Once again, a great update. I love the different plot line and it’s not just our usual Spencer and Ashley. Your writing is supurb as well.Anyways, post more soon please :)

    3. I love undercover cop plotlines in general, and yours is no exception. There’s something about the seedy world that criminals live in that fascinates me to no end, but when someone infiltrates that world like say, an undercover cop, that’s when the fun really begins. Miami Vice and The Departed remind me of the cat and mouse game to flush out uninvited guests, and I wonder if that could be a potential direction for this story. Nonetheless, this story is going great and I look forward to more soon…pretty please!
