    Why are you here?

                I had finally put my heart on the line and look where it has gotten me.
       

                Since our last goodbye, I have begun a very destructive pattern of behavior.  I am shutting Sara out completely and in attempt to end the constant phone calls from her and others, I send my cell phone on a kamikaze mission to the far most corner of the room.  It now lays broken into small pieces that have scattered on the carpet.  It joins several other dismantled objects that have met their demise by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. 

     

                I drink a good portion of the well stocked bar in the living room and I find it more and more difficult to stop before I reach unconsciousness.  It has probably been about a month since Spencer left.  Time has been no friend; the days are getting harder and harder.  I have a new best friend, tequila, and its company is all that matters.

     

                I am sitting in bed holding the bottle when I look up and see her walk into the room.  I blink my eyes several times yet I still see her coming towards me.  Then my vision begins to blur and the alcohol consumes my body.  I feel myself slip away. 

     

                When I open my eyes I am greeted with the familiar pounding in my head and an uncomfortable dryness in my mouth.  I pull myself to the edge of the bed and although it is not unusual that Spencer is invading my thoughts, I can not shake the feeling that she is actually here this time.  I head to the bathroom to gulp down aspirin with several large glasses of water and return to my room, collapsing on the bed. 

     

                “So….how long has this been going on?”  I am instantly in a standing position, startled to find I am not alone in the room.  I look to the direction of the voice and I see her on the couch, arms crossed and her expression showing she is more than slightly annoyed with me.

     

                “When did you get here?” Is the only thing that comes to my mind.

I am hoping that once Ashley checks her messages, she will have one for Spencer (pretty please)…they can’t go from best friends to nothing :-( I know you will make it interesting :-)

    6. You know this is really good. Ashely has now found peace and calmness in her situation with Spencer, even though it may not be perfect and fixed, she can move on and function okay! haha. And do you know why we want Ashley completely funtionable…so when Spencer comes back!! haha…I’m still waiting…we all are!!

    9. Danielle rocks… she needs to dump that boyfriend of hers and join us on the ‘dark side’… seriously! Ashley’s drinking is okay… so that’s the key to weight loss, eh? Tequila it is then! I have no issues with Ashley wallowing for a while, I wallowed for a year, then spent another year rebuilding the friendship and now… well, I reckon I’m back to wallowing.. a bit. Enough about me… Ash needs to put herself into drive and just live for a while.. no thinking, no remembering, just functioning.. that’ll get her through the time until bonehead.. err.. Spencer decides that she’s had enough time experimenting with Jess and comes back to her. I mean, Ash and Spence can’t settle down until they’ve lived a little longer, got jobs, grown up a bit more.. Now I’ve completely lost my train of thought. I LOVE this story… and I anxiously await the next installment.

Well, I love you forever now because your story’s amazing and you provides us with material to enjoy and spend our times on while they’re filming the second season and because you’re stopping from killing ourselves (some of us anyway) because we’re so desperate for more ashley & spencer. yeah. run on sentence.     12. Man I’m almost ashamed to admit that I’ve been waiting all weekend for this update, almost, except for the fact that by now you are pretty aware I have no life, and I live for fanfic. After that sentence I feel the necessity to explain that I did not literally wait for your update, I mean just half of my time, I actually have sort of a life in the form of stupid friends who manage to tear me apart of this site for a few hours (They really don’t understand the thrill of seeing a new update from your story). Now that I managed to creep you out I just wanted to say that this was once again a great update. And I also enjoy your author’s comment as much as your story, well not really, I mean your author’s comments rock but they would be pointless withouth the story.

Props to you for having so much patience drawing it out this long …quite the tease there, casey. Let’s hope the Spashley happy meal is just as good as the appetizer :o)

    15. ok so i know i havent been around as much as usual…im getting ready for a huge trip to NY this comming week with school (BORING) lol, i mean come on…why would i rather do that then read your stories…any way, this chapter…and the last one! omg….im telling you that you’re going to be the death and revival of me someday!!!! its like to put me into cardiac arrest at the beginning and then bring me back just to torture me for more!…lol, i do have to say that i love dani, and shes an awsome friend…and i cannot wait til ash and spence finally realize what they really want and need…lol…but yea, you know that i loved it….duH! so gimmie more…im leaving in a few days and im not gonna have access to a computer for at least a week, and i kno you love my comments ; )
