    The bedroom’s door swung open, violently slamming into the wall. “Oh my God…” Spencer closed her eyes, burrowing into Ashley’s neck as she prayed harder then she ever had before. Please God…please…not this… Falling back against the door, Paula dazedly shook her head, staring at the two intertwined girls. Eyes widened in shock, her quivering voice came out as a raspy whisper. “What…what’s going on in here?” Her sudden, strangled sob shook both girls. Reaching down, she gingerly picked up Ashley’s hastily discarded tank top and bra. Shaking, she held the small pieces of clothes up, meeting her daughter’s eyes for the first time. Unable to speak, to scream, to make any kind of noise, she stood, gaping. Not my little girl…Not. My. Little. Girl. Flushing darkly, Paula stepped towards her daughter’s bed, thrusting her hand out. She didn’t recognize her own voice as she leaned closer, speaking through clenched teeth. “Get the fuck out of my house!”

    Brown eyes darkened dangerously. Feeling her girlfriend’s trembling hand gently squeezing her arm, Ashley swallowed, forcing herself to stay calm. “Can we please have a minute to get dressed?” Tilting her head, Paula glared at the brunette. “I’m never leaving you alone with my daughter again…do you understand me, you little dyke?” Both women could hear Arthur just outside the door, pleading, begging them to stop. Standing, Ashley tore her shirt and bra from the older blonde’s outstretched hand and turned to pull her tank over her head. Spencer’s outraged scream echoed the brunette’s as Paula hands twisted, violently grabbing auburn curls. “How dare you?” Dragging the small girl by her hair, Paula threw her bodily against the wall, screaming. “What have you done? What have you done to my little girl?” Futilely trying to grab her mother’s arms, Spencer screamed again as Paula’s hand connected solidly with her cheek. Barely on her knees, Ashley lunged, plowing into the women’s legs.

    They collapsed together, still struggling, onto the floor. Arthur’s yell trailed off as he met his daughter’s eyes. Blushing, Spencer pulled the thin, white sheet up higher, desperately trying to hide her nakedness. Ashley’s pained cries shattered the moment as Paula’s fist slammed down against her back.

    15. hurray! what a great way to start my day, even though i’m still patiently waiting for your next installment of my favorite story. your images of paula walking in on spencer and ashley brought back some not so pleasant memories. for them to have fought for their love even for those few moments was so brave…you did a wonderful job of conveying the tragedy of young love; it burns so hot that it seems doomed to a short life. bravo.
