“what are you getting at ash?” Aiden asked

“I just want to hear those lyrics again…” I told him and then she sang them with her accent and it sounded so amazing and awesome “…ok, hey Kate?” I asked

“yeah?” she replied

“your lyrics are good…so is the music…” I told her “…so, how would you feel if we offered to sign you to Blackout records?” I asked and she smiled

“that’d be amazing” she told us

“alright then…” Aiden said “michelle!” he yelled “can you get us some paper work and a contract printed out?” he asked the assistant

“yeah no problem…” she replied then got it to us a little after he asked, and we got to know Kate then she left, I went into my office and Aiden followed

“one down…” I told him

“hundreds more to go” he added sitting down and taking a deep breath “so what’s on the agenda for Ashley Davies tonight?” he asked

“um…Spencer’s coming over…I think” I told him

“Spencer? You sure that’s a good idea?” he asked

“why wouldn’t it be?” I asked him

“um Brooke for one…” he told me “…Ashley, you and Brooke are like meant for each other and she’s been there for you unlike Spencer…are you sure you want to have another issue like Becca again? I mean do you need closure or something? Because we’re not in high school anymore…if you leave Brooke she may not come back” he told me

“so…maybe having Spencer over isn’t a good idea…” I told him

“you don’t need her in your life…I mean you can see your life without her, but can you see your life without Brooke?” he asked me honestly

“honestly? No…” I told him

“ok then…” he said then he got up “…I’m gonna look at those other bands in my office then record a few things ok?” he asked

“yeah sure….no problem…” I told him

Later that night after work I was at home and I went up into my room and went into my closet and I pulled out a shoe box that had stuff from high school and college in it. I pulled out a black velvet box with an engagement ring in it, different from the one in my dresser…
