“Breathe. In….and….out. Relax Ash. I promise Spencer isn’t nearly as scary as she comes off.” Aiden put a hand under Ashley’s chin and forced her to stare him in the eyes. “Plus I bet she’s just as nervous as you are. Her roommate called me right after she left for the movies tonight. He told me not to be surprised if Spencer happened to find a 24/7 dinner on the way, and was all hopped up on coffee.”
That got a chuckle out of her.
“Alright, look. If you can make it through this car ride without freaking again I’ll pay for both your and Spencer’s ticket. And you’ll be allowed to freak out all you want in front of Spencer. That way she gets to deal with it.” He nodded at the judicious plan. “Sounds good?”
Ashley just shrugged her shoulders but a small smile played on her lips. No matter how badly she was stressing this movie night, she was still excited.
He started the car again and pulled out. The conversation lulled but Aiden thought of something all of a sudden.
“What’s with you smiling now? Not that it’s a bad thing, it’s just you haven’t smiled this much since…I can’t even remember.”
Ashley’s smile stayed where it was. “I don’t know. I’m just in a good mood all the time now.”
Aiden nodded knowingly. Spencer. She tended to have that effect on people.
“So you really like her then.” It was half statement, half question.
“Yeah, I really do. As you can see from my earlier spaz attack.”
Aiden kept his disappointment hidden. He didn’t need to ruin this for Spencer and Ashley.
“How long ‘til we get there?!?” Ashley said impatiently.
Aiden could only laugh in response.

Spencer silently thanked Sam for suggesting a jacket. She was standing just inside the glass doors and she was guessing it was probably warmer outside than in. Her arms folded themselves and then unfolded. She opened up her purse and rooted around for her cell phone. Finally after a successful search that surfaced some gum and chap-stick, she found her cell. The time read 7:43. She had approximately 2 minutes before they showed up. It seemed like an eternity away. It also seemed like not enough time.

Yay! Milk duds. Well, we don’t get them here. I love Reeses cups, but we don’t get them here either. it’s depressing. We have Tim-tams though, and you guys don’t, so it all balances. Anyway, loved the update. Who hasn’t done that in a movie theatre? Or my first date with my first girlfriend in a normal theatre :) Awww, sweet. Now send them home to bonk.

Aw. You guys are super nice. I have things to say though. Goldfish CAN drown, if they’re not in water. (Duh! they drown in oxygen). Milk Duds suck. So Bad. I hate ’em and I’m glad at least one person agrees with me. And lastly, I’m so taking my time with the whole Spashley relationship. They most probably aren’t going to ‘bonk’ after their first ‘date’. But hey, hoping never hurt nobody. ;) I love you guys. People who comment are my favorite!
