    Glen doesn’t do well at rehab – Paula tries to play her cards right, but Ashley is one step ahead of her – Drama to come – JadedRogue style…

     

                “Interesting,” said Paula.  “Do I get help with dinner, or am I on my own?”

     

                “I’ll help,” said Ashley from the doorway, “that is, if you’ll have let me?  My mom is in Hawaii for the next week, so it’s just me, and the delivery menus.”  Paula stiffened at the sight of the young woman who’d turned her daughter gay, or at least had made her think she was gay.  Ashley and Spencer had been studying in the den, when they’d heard Paula coming into the house with Glen.  Glen had gone upstairs, wanting to take a shower, and take his evening pain medication.

     

                “Ash…,” said Spencer in a threatening tone.  Paula didn’t say anything, if she wanted to lull Spencer back into her good graces, she was going to have to play nice with Ashley.  It wasn’t going to be easy, but it was the old adage, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

     

                “Of course, can you slice an onion?”  Asked Paula with a smile, letting Ashley lead them into the kitchen, the dark haired girl made a distasteful noise.

     

                “Of course,” said Ashley, using the same lofty tone as Paula.  “I was thinking I might become a surgeon, slice and dice…,” giggled Ashley.  Spencer grimaced, hands on her hips, watching her mother and her girlfriend seemingly bonding.  The door swung closed and Spencer asked Clay.

     

                “Care to tell me what THAT was about?” 

     

                “She’s your girlfriend, you should know,” answered Clay, and Sean snickered.  Spencer narrowed her eyes at Sean, who put his hands up in surrender, he wasn’t going to piss off the cute blonde.

     

                “That is your mom playing nice, so that you stop hating her, and your girl, Ash, she’s playing your moms,” informed Sean.

     

                “GREAT!”  Spencer said, throwing her hands up on the air, Chelsea laughed at her antics.

     

                “Dyke drama…,” Sean and Clay looked at her oddly.  “What?  You don’t have to be gay to know something about gay life.  I told you, I have family that is gay.  Haven’t you guys ever heard of The L Word?” 

     

                “Yeah, but I don’t watch it,” stated Sean.  “Less they got lovely ladies in bed with one another…,” the young man rubbed his hands together at the thought.  Clay hung his head, embarrassed at how Sean was acting.  He looked up at Spencer.  Spencer slapped her forehead dramatically.

    3. Have I told you how much I LOVE this story?!? Ashley freaking ROCKS…she is officially the coolest person on earth (ehhh don’t tell me she’s not real…you’ll burst my bubble LOL j/k). I love how Ashley is matching Paula at every move AND how she’s making Spencer realize (or at least working on making her realize) how she’s lucky that her mom at least cares enough to be angry/unsupportive. I know Paula is a bitch, but it does show she cares and with time I’m sure Ashley will win her over. I LOVE THIS STORY!!!!! And woooooo, keep the updates coming. :D
