    A Different L: Episode 1 Part 2

Felicity: I don’t know how many times I have to tell you that I wish there were things I could change. Things from the past, things that happened between us… and things that… that happened to you-

Jessica quickly turns her face to Felicity, her eyes pierced. It stops Felicity’s talking.

    Jessica: Don’t. Bring. That. Up.

    Felicity: I’m… I’m sorry. I’m gonna go.

Jessica sighs as she sees Felicity’s look of dejection when turning to walk away. Jessica stands from her seat.

    Jessica: Wait.

Felicity turns back to Jessica, who now walks up to her. Their faces are just inches apart and their eyes locked on.

Jessica: You’re happy with him, right? With Oliver?

Felicity nods slowly, almost reluctantly. An emotional lump begins to develop in Felicity’s throat.

Felicity: I really miss us being friends.

Jessica: …I miss not being scarred for life. All the shit I was going through and you were the bright spot. …I can’t let myself miss that. It’ll suck everything out of me.

Felicity cannot find the words, simply backing away before turning around and walking off. Jessica knows that closure has not been easy for either of them as she watches Felicity walk back to her yard upset. Jessica sighs once more, looking off into nothing as her eyes tilt down.

    Jessica: Goddammit.

Later in the day, there is another form of dejection. This time it is for Barbara and Liz. They have just been informed that the sample will likely not be successful and that their hopes of Liz becoming pregnant today have just been dashed and now they walk towards the parking lot.

Barbara: That was a complete waste.

Liz: We had to try. We’ll keep trying. Between you and I, I’m sure we know enough men that could still make good candidates. Can we ride by the Planet?

Barbara: Sure, I’ll drop you off. I just want to get back to the house and forget the rest of this day.

As Barbara and Liz exit the Doctor’s office with the result they did not want, Iris West has left the Planet momentarily to pick up items at one of the nearby grocery stores, Laurelwood Farms Market. With the necessary items picked up, Iris leaves back for the Planet.
