”Alice you are being ridiculous!” Bette said getting annoyed
Alice threw her hands up
”Ok. But Dr. Tina Kennard was taking in the view of one Bette Porter in more than a friendly way and if I’m right then you are to never speak another harsh word about Myrtle again. Deal?” Alice said getting up and walking over to Bette with her hand extended.
”Alice you are crazy but I’m crazy for even going along with this but ok deal” Bette said extending her hand and shaking Alice’s.
”Well good. Now that we have that settled do you want to go out with me and my new friend Shane?” Alice asked walking toward the bedroom.
”No. But who is Shane?” Bette asked curiously
”I met Shane a few weeks ago. I was having a hair crisis and wandered in the salon she was working in and voila, she made me look like a beauty queen. We hit it off right away” Alice explained while walking around the bedroom undressing to get in the shower.
Bette heard Alice shut the shower door and sat back in her chair looking up at the ceiling thinking about what Alice had said. Although she wasn’t into mixing business with pleasure she couldn’t deny her attraction to the gorgeous doctor and if Tina felt the same way then why couldn’t that happen Bette thought.

”Peggy?. Wake up Peggy” Tina said softly as she stood beside Peggy’s bed in the recovery room.
Peggy stirred a little and moaned turning her head to the voice calling her name as she slowly opened her eyes to focus. As the vision was getting clearer she saw who the voice belonged to and managed to curl her lips into a smile.
”Mmmmm. Have I died and gone to heaven because there is an angel looking over me” Peggy said groggily still trying to get her bearings together.
Tina smiled and pulled a stool up beside the bed to sit.
”Peggy? I managed to get all of the tumor and removed the kidney. As you know the cancer has spread into the lymph system. I told you this will be a difficult journey but my goal is to make sure we treat this aggressively so are you still willing to do that?”
