Peggy smiled and nodded.
”Dear in my 57 years I have never backed down from a fight or even a divorce. How do you think I have acquired the fortune I have? I’m not going to let some cancer stop me now but I do ask that my daughter Helena not be made aware of my condition. She thinks I’m in Fiji vacationing”
”You know we are bound by patient privacy laws so no information will be given about your medical condition without your consent” Tina assured and Peggy patted her hand in understanding.
”Very well dear. Now how soon can we begin treatment?” Peggy asked anxiously
”We will start on Monday. My clinical trials are approved so all you need to do is sign some forms when they bring you downstairs and then we will set you up with an IV and begin administering the cocktail. Be prepared to sit for 3-4 hours so if you have any entertainment with you bring it. They should have your private room ready in a little while and get you moved”
”Darling I am entertainment. Now let a woman get her beauty sleep” Peggy said closing her eyes.
Tina smiled and stood up from the stool she was sitting in.
”I’ll check in on you in the morning. Sleep well” Tina said as she gathered her chart and walked out of the room.
As she walked out of the recovery area Tina looked at her watched and sighed. ”It’s so late but I need to order those flowers to get there by tomorrow ”

As she got out of the shower, Bette walked over to peek through the curtains in her room and looked out of the window seeing nothing but sunshine and blue skies and decided to get busy office and house hunting. After dressing and putting the final touches on her makeup, she grabbed her purse and went to knock on Alice’s door.
”Hey Al?” Bette called out and heard a groan coming from the other side ”You alive?” Bette asked and quietly turned the knob and peeked through the crack seeing Alice laid out across the bed still in her clothes from last night.
”Go away” Alice mumbled lying face first on the bed. Bette couldn’t help but laugh.
