Tina – I don’t know … I would like to tell him about you but I don’t want to call him out of the blue with the news.

Bette – He is my client, Tina. He will find out sooner or later.

Tina – I know. Let’s just play it by ear. You just use your best judgment when the time comes.

Bette nods and strokes her hair.  

Bette – Al invited us for brunch next weekend.

Tina looks concerned.

Tina – Did you tell her that I want to lay low for now?

Bette – Yes, but The Planet is basically a lesbian hangout. I don’t think that we are going to meet your friends there.

Tina – I’m not even sure I’ll have free weekends for the next few weeks. But yes, perhaps we can meet her at The Planet.

Bette – My schedule will be busy too. I have a shipment coming from China in a couple of weeks and I need to start planning the space for the exhibition. (pause) But I hope that we can see each other.

The blonde looks up at her smiling.

Tina – Me too!

The brunette leans in and gives her a sweet kiss.

Bette’s living room, night: Bette and Tina are lying on the couch hugging each other with the blonde resting on the brunette’s shoulder, her eyes closed.

Bette – You are tired.

Tina sighs deeply.

Tina – Yes …

Bette – Would you like to stay for the night? I don’t think you should drive right now.

The producer doesn’t move.

Tina – OK …

The gallery owner chuckles.

Bette – Do you need to be carried?

Tina – I don’t think you can …

Bette – I’m pretty sure that I can if I drop you on my shoulder.

Tina – Like a rag doll?

Bette – Like a precious rag doll …

They exchange a smile and kiss.

Bette – Let’s go …

They stand up and walk to the bedroom in an embrace.

The brunette smiles.

Bette – You look good in my pajamas.

The blonde turns off the light.
