Gwen laughs.

Gwen – This is the oldest trick in the book, Miss Hotness! You are running away from me because you hate being exclusive. Alright, I get it …

The brunette shakes her head.

Gwen – … and I don’t mind! No ties, OK? But don’t give me a lame excuse.

Bette – I am serious, Gwen!

The redhead smirks.

Gwen – And where is this mysterious girlfriend who hasn’t been seen near you all night?

The gallery owner sighs frustrated.

Bette – It’s complicated …

Gwen smirks in doubt.

Gwen – Ahhh … complicated …

Bette – It’s just …

Tina – Excuse me.

Bette stops in mid-sentence as Tina and Meg reach them. 

The redhead looks at them with indifference.

The blonde approaches the gallery owner with intimacy, invading her personal space and placing a hand on her shoulder.

Tina – Baby … I’m going to take Meg home now.

Gwen’s mouth drops open.

Bette raises her eyebrows surprised and a smile slowly forms on her face.

Bette – OK.

Meg watches Gwen with a smirk.

Tina plays with the brunette’s hair and kisses her cheek.

Tina – Bye … Don’t take too long.

She smiles sensually.

The gallery owner grins delighted.

Bette – I’ll be home soon.

The blonde turns to Gwen with casualness.

Tina – Bye, Gwen!

She turns around and walks away without waiting for a response.

Meg – Bye, Bette! It was a great exhibit.

They kiss on the cheek.

Bette – Thank you, Meg! It was a pleasure having you here.

Meg – Don’t take too long … or she’ll start the party alone. Trust me!

She winks and the brunette chuckles.

She turns to Gwen with a cocky smile.

Meg – Bye-bye!

She leaves.

The redhead is still shocked.

Gwen – Bye …

Bette turns to Gwen with a “I told you so” smirk on her face.

Bette Porter Gallery, main room, night:  Tina and Meg stop by the front door to the gallery. Meg is laughing.

Meg – Loved it, Belle!

The blonde winks.

Tina – Wait, I will be back in a minute.

She walks toward the hallway while Meg waits.

Bette Porter Gallery, main room, night:  Tina returns to the front door carrying a bag.

Meg – What is this?

The blonde opens the bag showing a chilled bottle of champagne.

Tina – James hid it for me.  I need to stop by Bette’s before I drive you home.

Meg – Special celebration?

Tina – Private one. She deserves it.

They walk away together.

Bette Porter Gallery, late night: It is the end of the night and all guests have left. Bette and Bob are the only ones in the gallery making a last inspection.

Bob turns off the lights in the main room and the gallery owner makes her way to her office to pick up her purse. As she opens the office door, the desk lamp is on. She picks up her purse on the couch and walks over to the desk to turn off the lamp. She notices a card on the table right below the lamp, addressed to Bette Porter with one of Tina’s earrings on top of it. She holds the earring with a smile on her face and reads the front page of the card.    

Dear Miss Porter:     

This time I expect a personal delivery.

A grin appears on her face.  She opens the card and reads the second page.

Bette chuckles and closes the card.
