Eric places his arm on his girlfriend’s shoulder, breaking their moment and she turns to him.
Eric – Honey, remind me to take you with me the next time I decide to buy more art at Bette’s gallery.
The gallery owner smiles with grace.
Bette – You are a smart man, Eric. And a lucky one.
He looks at Tina with affection and they exchange a smile.
Eric – I know! (pause) Well, will you excuse us? Tina and I will mingle a little … right, honey?
Tina – Sure!
The lawyer leads the blonde away. As she leaves, she gives a quick glance in the brunette’s direction.
Bette and David watch them walk away toward the bar.
David – She is a fine piece of art, Bette … but she is taken.
Bette turns to him and back to the blonde, gazing at her wistfully.
Bette – She is. (pause) More than fine …

David Ross’ mansion, night: Eric and Tina stop at the bar.
Bartender – Good evening! May I help you?
Eric turns to the blonde.
Eric – Do you want another drink?
Tina – Yeah …
She sighs and turns to the bartender.
Tina – A Manhattan, please.
Eric – Make it two!
He turns to her.
Eric – You seemed so uncomfortable that I decided to rescue you.
Tina – Well, I don’t like being the joke of the party.
Eric – Sorry, honey. This is not how I saw it. David gave you an amazing compliment. It was actually a mockery on him.
She raises her eyebrows inquisitively.
Eric – Come on … Bette Porter? Even if she were straight, he wouldn’t have a chance!
Tina – Why?
Eric – Are you blind?! The woman is gorgeous! She could have any man she wanted!
She squints her eyes and he smiles apologetically.
Eric – Except me, of course! I have the most beautiful woman!
The bartender places their drinks on the counter and he takes a sip of his.
She gazes at Bette across the room and takes a gulp of hers.
Tina – Do you think that she has every woman that she wants?
Eric – I have no doubts! Except for the straight ones, of course. (pause) Although … I thought she was enjoying that joke a little too much.

Oh, my. I don’t think Tina is going to be able to resist Bette for long. I’m not sure that there is a woman alive who could resist this type of seduction – the looks, the maintaining of distance and when the opportunity presents itself to place yourself so near but not touching. Of course, the voice control with the suggestive words? Who wouldn’t just melt. Put that on top of the fact that both men and women find Bette to be very desirable. And what Tina may or may not know, is that Bette’s has never pursued any woman in this manner – Tina is different. Tina is so humble, I don’t think that she realizes how beautiful she is.
Wonderful chapter – two Greek Goddesses in the garden admiring works of art! Love it…keep these coming.

I think Bette shouldn’t date Gwen when she is so clearly smitten and obsessed about Tina, but i would understand if she does, Gwen is a beautiful lady and Tina is with that loser Eric.
They dance around each other and it will take Tina more time to accept and act on her feelings for Bette.
Looking forward to the next chapter!!!

It’s still wracking my brain because I remember reading the chapters as you post them but I still can’t seem to place the rest of the story! But I’m definitely enjoying it :)

Great chapter, I think Tina already got the message, all her body and heart is telling her to turn to “L”, only her brain is insisting on keep going straight.
She felt dissatisfaction but when Eric offered to pass the night with her, she refused, proof that she is no longer interested in men, she has been cornered by Bette.
Bette is also another interesting case, no girl resisted her, but this blonde is taking the best from her, and so far nothing (????) well, think fast Bette.
I look forward to the invitation to Bette Porter’s party, with the main course of the feast “hot blonde in her juices”.
