She ran toward the back entrance to the library, praying and hoping that Tina was alright. A group of guards were also running in the same direction, at least someone was doing their job. Bette rushed passed them and made it around to the grassy yard were people normally read their books. She stopped dead in her tracks at the sight. A tree was on fire, others were broken and had fallen over. Tables, chairs and windows were broken and there were blood splatterings on the floor.

There was a group of people standing together in one area and Bette immediately ran over, pushing her way through the crowd. Kit was in the process of healing an unconscious Shane’s wounds as Jenny and Nikki stood behind. Bette ran to her friend and sister, dropping to her knees.

"What happened?"

Kit turned to look at her sister as a white light started to glow from her hands. There were tears in her eyes.

"Someone attacked Shane and took Tina"

Bette felt her heart stop beating as she looked to Kit in disbelief, "What do you mean someone took Tina?!"

Tears immediately filled her eyes as her breathing grew heavy. Tina was gone and she didn’t protect her.

"No you idiot! I told you to patrol around this area not around me. Useless fool"

Nikki’s voice penetrated Bette’s mind and awakened a fiery rage inside her. She jumped to her feet and spun around, facing her and Jenny.

"You fucking bitch! You let this happen"

Bette punched Nikki in the face and watched as her body crumbled to the floor. Nikki fell onto her back and screamed in pain as blood rushed out of her nose. Her guards immediately attacked Bette, charging full force with their spears extended.

Bette twisted her body to the side, nearly missing a spear thrust only to grab it out of the hand of a guard and using it as her own weapon. She spun and flipped, twisting and turning her body so fast she was untouchable. She blocked all attacks by the large group of guards, countering and attacking. In the blink of an eye, it was all over. Bette had dispatched 12 guards, the others keeping a fair distance with their weapons outstretched, much too afraid to get any closer.
