    Recovering and making way for the future

    "Always"

    Without another word, she followed the doctor through the double doors. Her heart was racing with anticipation as if it almost knew it would soon be reunited with it’s other half.

    Ava leaned against the railing attached to the wall in front of Tina’s room as she looked through the open door at her cousin. The doctor had encouraged her to go inside but Ava hadn’t built up the nerve, she didn’t feel it was her place after everything she had done.

    Whether she would admit it or not, she was glad to see Tina had opened her eyes and even more so that her blood literally ran through Tina’s veins. It gave  her a sense of peace to know that she and Tina were connected somehow. They were cousins yes but Ava knew she has crossed the line with all she had done.

    Even though Tina had a heart of gold, Ava didn’t expect forgiveness and her pride would never let her ask for it either.

    A soft breeze blew in the wide hallway as Bette burst through the double doors on the far end of the hallway. She was so eager to see Tina that she didn’t even notice Ava standing there, walking into the room without any regard for her surroundings.

    Ava watched as the brunette stopped dead in her tracks, taking in Tina’s damaged form as her tears rolled down her cheeks. Tina was cut up and swollen but she was alive, she even smiled.

    "Hey you"

    Bette swallowed hard at the sound of the low raspy voice, she welcomed the tears that rolled down her cheeks. She was so relieved, so incredibly happy.

    "Hi baby" She spoke through her tears as she slowly took a seat on the bed beside Tina and looked her over again, "Oh my God, look at you"

    Tina’s right leg was upraised in a cast, her lip was cut and swollen and she had a few cuts and bruises on her arms and face. Her broken leg was uncovered aside from the cast and Bette could see the small cuts there too, Tina’s left cheek had a tiny cut and was swollen around the area.

    18. I love this story so much. Second time reading and it just gets better. The ending is amazing. I think, most envision Bette proposing to Tina. Power babes appear to be in control and even possessive, but inside they’re often flailing. They long to be topped in many areas of life lol— not just in the intimate ways. If you’re that lucky someone, they’ll expose their vulnerability. To be strong is to be vulnerable. I enjoy stories where their roles are slightly reversed. Plus, dominant Tina is hotttt! Bette Porter-Kennard. Aw I’m swooning. So talented you are! ✨
