Bandit, Cash and Colbie
“Malibu beach.”
“Yep.”
Tina’s entire face lit up. Malibu was one of her favorite spots. She furrowed her brow. Bette knew what she was thinking.
“What?” Bette asked innocently.
“Why are we wearing jeans and hiking boots if we are going to the beach?”
“You will see. Would you like to walk with me?” Bette asked.
“I always want to walk with you.”
Tina blinked because she didn’t know how to wink. Bette scrunched her nose at Tina.
They walked towards the water with their shoes in their hands.
“I love this beach,” Tina smiled.
“I know.”
“Look how beautiful it is. How the sunlight dances off the waves.”
“It is beautiful,” Bette said as she looked at Tina.
Tina felt her staring at her again and blushed. Tina walked them closer to the edge of the beach where the water gently crashed onto the shore. The water was cold but bearable. It felt nice.
Tina stopped and faced the ocean. Bette did the same. They closed their eyes and let the breeze blow through them. Bette grabbed Tina’s hand and tugged on it. Tina took another deep breath before she fell into step next to Bette. They walked in silence. Bette knew the surprise would be coming into view soon. They were walking on a remote part of the beach. It was just them.
Tina looked up. Bette tried to hide her smile unsuccessfully. Tina squinted. Then her eyes got really big. Tina stopped. Let go of Bette’s hand clasped her hands over her mouth.
“What is it?” Bette teased.
“Are those horses?”
Bette looked into the distance. She cupped her hand over her brow to get a better view. Bette knew damn well those were horses waiting for them.
“Looks like it.”
“Bette Porter, look at me.”
Bette turned to face Tina.
“Yes?”
“Are we riding horses on the beach?”
“Maybe?”
Tina squealed and jumped up and down.
“How? How? I thought that wasn’t allowed here.”
Bette smiled. She was pleased Tina was pleased.
“It’s not. Typically. But they are thinking about making it available here.”
“Shut. Up.” Tina squealed and punched Bette in the arm.
“Ow.”
Tina rubbed the spot where she just punched Bette.
“Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.”
“It’s okay.”
“How did you find out about it?”

Nice date…. just how much longer of this closeness can they do without allowing themselves the intimacy of actually being together? Time to commit! Time to put the past into the past and go forward….
Thanks for the chapter… looking forward to more.
Wow…. That was hot!
I think Bette has tutured Tina enough. And Tina has learned her lesson. They should move forward already.
