Bandit, Cash and Colbie
Tina raised her eyebrows.
“Kit.”
Tina looked around the room again. Everything looked so amazing.
Bette poured them a couple of Scotch’s.
“Is this okay?”
Tina nodded.
They ate and drank and laughed and talked for another hour or so. Bette leaned back onto the couch. Tina looked at her.
“Is it okay if I put my head on your shoulder?” Tina asked.
Scotch always made Tina a little bolder.
Bette nodded.
Tina smiled and leaned against Bette. Bette looked down at the top of Tina’s head. They both exhaled. Bette draped her arm around Tina. They sat in silence enjoying the closeness. After about 20 minutes, Tina sat up and looked into Bette’s eyes.
Hi, Tina’s soul tried.
Bette wasn’t sure she was ready. She had heard Tina’s soul in her previous attempts to connect but was too stubborn.
Tina waited and finally looked down.
Hi, Bette’s soul responded.
Tina’s eyes flew up. She looked astonished. Bette smiled, shyly. Tina smiled. She was suddenly overwhelmed.
“Umm…I think I’m going to go to bed now. The scotch is getting to me. Tonight was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much.”
Bette nodded. She wasn’t ready for the night to be over. Tina stood up.
“Goodnight.”
“Let me walk you to your room.” Bette stood up too.
Tina remembered saying that to Bette the first night she moved back into their house. Tina smiled and nodded. They walked slowly.
“Umm…Tina?”
“Yeah?”
“Would you like to sleep in our room tonight?”
After last night, Bette never wanted to sleep alone again.
Tina’s eyes filled with tears. She looked down the hall and back at Bette.
“I would love to…but…”
Bette looked at Tina expectantly.
“But what?”
“But I don’t want to sleep in there until we are back together.”
Bette nodded.
“Okay,” Bette couldn’t hide the disappointment.
“You…umm…you can sleep in here with me again if you’d like.”
Bette smiled.
“Okay.”
“Okay. I’m going to take a shower,” Tina said.
“I will straighten up the living room, shower and be in soon.”
“Okay.”
“Okay. Have a good shower.”
Tina nodded.
Bette put the couch back together. She packed up the food and put it in the refrigerator.
About 30 minutes later, Bette was standing outside Tina’s doorway.
“Can I come in?”

Nice date…. just how much longer of this closeness can they do without allowing themselves the intimacy of actually being together? Time to commit! Time to put the past into the past and go forward….
Thanks for the chapter… looking forward to more.
Wow…. That was hot!
I think Bette has tutured Tina enough. And Tina has learned her lesson. They should move forward already.
