“I don’t hate it Bette. How could I hate anything from you honey. It was very thoughtful of you. I am sure I will love it.” Tina assured Bette.
“You sure you are not just saying that to make me feel better?” Bette questioned still unsure about her choice.
“Of course Bette.” Tina said giving her a warm smile which prompted a big smile from Bette.
“Oh, now that’s what I like to see Ms. Porter. That gorgeous smile looks so good on you.” Tina said making Bette blush a bright shade of pink.
“So you really got me a tree then?” Tina gently teased making the brunette chuckle.
“Yeah, it’s a beautiful Bonsai creation by Morten Albek. It’s a ‘Danish Cherry’. He is a famous Danish bonsai artist who excels in the art of Shohin Bonsai.” Bette went on to explain what Shohin Bonsai meant and how it was different from regular Bonsai art.
Tina was mesmerized listening to Bette talk about art. Even though she was not an artist or knew nothing about art seeing Bette’s intense passion for art, her chocolate brown eyes twinkling with excitement as she spoke of her beloved art, Tina wished she was a piece of art that would come alive with Bette’s passion and enthusiasm.
“You really love his work don’t you?” Tina asked with a warm smile.
“Yes I do. The art is very intricate yet he makes it so beautiful. It’s truly inspiring. The love and care that goes into creating the designs presents us with such a new perspective on nature and its true beauty. Its amazing.”
“Have you shown his work at your gallery?” Tina questioned.
“No not yet. But I am in talks with his manager. I have even spoken with Morten himself, so hopefully something with come about soon. I really want to show his work in my next show this coming spring.”
The blonde nodded as the brunette became quiet.
“I am sure you will work it out.” Tina assured smiling into Bette’s eyes but was caught off guard by the intense gaze looking right back at her.
The blonde’s heart skipped a few beats as she instantly felt warmth spreading throughout her body and slowly her smile faded.

So cute and sweet. I love how thoughtful Bette’s gift was and that she got to explain it to Tina without all the craziness of the party surrounding them.

I read quite a few stories, and loved only a couple handfuls. Yours is now one of them, and whether you choose to finish or not, I don’t regret stumbling upon this beauty. It’s up there with – “Sun Salutations” – “Denial,” and “Night in the D” ….. Love yours…
