Chapter 6
The ride along the PCH hadn’t been that long but to both of them it had seemed like an eternity. After the first few minutes as the initial excitement died down the air inside the car had gotten charged with nervous energy.
Tina had fidgeted with the radio in the beginning as the silence had descended upon the couple while Bette had sat looking out of the window occasionally stealing glances at the blonde.
As Tina drove the car trying hard to keep her eyes strictly on the road and away from the gorgeous brunette she felt the intense brown eyes gazing at her. Just the thought of being watched by those chocolate orbs was making her breath hitch and Tina felt her body go warm with the sensations the close proximity to the mocha beauty was causing.
Finally they reached their intended destination and Tina expertly parked the car. She looked at the brunette and both of them shared a smile.
As Bette went to open the door Tina reached for her arm and gently held her back. Bette turned back slightly and looked with question in her eyes.
“Please let me.” Tina tilted her head slightly and smiled warmly at the beauty beside her.
Tina could only watch fascinated as the brunette’s brown eyes got bigger with surprise and a deep red blush slowly crept up her neck. Bette quickly lowered her eyes unable to maintain the gaze with the hazel eyes any longer and slowly nodded her approval.
Tina quickly jumped out of the driver’s side beaming with a gorgeous smile and ran around towards the passenger side and slowly opened the door. She promptly put her hand out to assist the shy brunette out of the car with care.
“Thanks Tee.” Bette shyly said as she slowly stepped out of the car holding onto the blonde’s hand.
“My pleasure.” Tina said loving the shy smile of the brunette.
Bette looked around as the cool air of the night surrounded her. She took a deep breath of the salty smell of the ocean and instantly felt at ease.
