    Bette & Tina Beginning.

     

    She was held captive by the bottomless dark brown pools in front of her that she couldn’t look away from even if she tried.

     

    The look was of such pure longing that she felt her heart overwhelm with emotion. She tried to find her voice but all that came out was a quiet whisper.

     

    “Bette…what…what are you doing?” Tina whispered as she felt thousands’ of butterflies start dancing in her stomach all of a sudden.

     

    “I am looking at you.” Came the innocent reply.

     

    “Why….? Why are you looking at me like that?” Tina asked the brunette holding onto her breath.

     

    “I..I..” Bette stuttered nervous about saying anything, still unable to tear her eyes away from the hazel ones looking on expectantly at her.

     

    “Tell me…please…” Tina urged the brunette on.

     

    “I..I just like looking at you.” Bette answered softly seeing the warmth shining through the hazel eyes.

     

    Hearing Bette’s answer Tina felt her being fill with such happiness that she couldn’t hold back the huge grin that overtook her entire face. Tina finally let out the breath she had been holding onto for so long thinking to herself, my God, can she get any sweeter?

     

    Seeing Tina grinning Bette let out the breath she had been holding onto anticipating the blonde’s reaction to her answer and grinned back happily thankful that she wasn’t the receiver of any blows yet.

     

    “You do huh?” Tina chuckled after a couple of moments.

     

    “Yup!” A few nods and an ever increasing grin.

     

    The sudden loud noises coming from the party brought the two women out of their little world.

     

    Startled, Bette jumped out of her seat and frantically looked around. Bette’s sudden movement scared Tina and she too jumped up wondering what happened.

     

    “Whoa….are you okay?” Tina asked as she eyed the brunette curiously.

     

    “Yes, yes. Um we should probably go back inside?” The brunette asked tentatively not really wanting to go back among so many people again.

     

    Bette looked on as she waited for the blonde to answer but Tina just stood still looking at her for a few beats and finally smiled.

     

    “Bette, you wanna get out of here?”

     

    “What? But the party?” Bette asked in confusion.

     

    “Yeah the party is in full swing but I don’t need to be there. So what do you say?” Tina asked with a twinkle in her eyes as she held out her left hand for Bette.

     

    Seeing the excitement radiating from the blonde Bette couldn’t hold back her laugh. She quickly moved forward and placed her hand within Tina’s ready to go along on the ride of her life with the woman of her dreams.

    14. I read quite a few stories, and loved only a couple handfuls. Yours is now one of them, and whether you choose to finish or not, I don’t regret stumbling upon this beauty. It’s up there with – “Sun Salutations” – “Denial,” and “Night in the D” ….. Love yours…
