Tina smacked her forehead “Yes I’m sorry. I meant to text you back but I spent 12 hours here doing 3 different surgeries from the accident then had to come back early to do my surgery schedule and rounds”
Bette placed a hand briefly on Tina’s shoulder “Tina..You don’t have to explain. I completely understand”
“I told my lawyer to draw up the lease agreement and to send it to your email to look over. If everything looks good you can sign it and send it back to him. Keep the key for now”
“Sure..And before I forget..Mr Parker needs to know which design you will be using so I told him you would make a choice this week. He needs to know how much to set aside for the fiscal year”
Tina nods “I’ll do that in the next day or two.
Definitely by Friday” she glances at her watch “I really hate to run off but I need to hurry and eat before surgery. I’m sorry”
Bette shakes her head “Tina you do not need to apologize to me. I know better than anyone you have a schedule to keep. But call me when you have made your decision on the design”
Bette reaches out and gives Tina’s arm a gentle squeeze
“I will. I’m really glad I got to see you today” Tina says giving Bette a warm smile
“Me too. I better go. Mr. Burlingame is waiting” Bette says flashing a smile and a flirty wink before she turns to head toward the exit
Tina sighed watching Bette leave and headed inside the cafeteria where Dana pulled her into the line with her
“Dana!…I didn’t want to cut in front of everyone”
Dana shrugs “You are Dr Tina Kennard. You are a Saint. No one is going to care if you cut in line” Dana says turning to look at the person behind her “Mary did you care I pulled Dr. Kennard in the line with me?”
Mary giggles “Definitely not”
Dana smiled and turned to Tina “See” and shrugged
Tina rolled her eyes
“So when are you going to ask Bette out?” Dana asks as she surveyed the lunch items behind the glass
“I’m not going there..It’s strictly business. That’s where it needs to stay. Now enough about that. I want to hear about Alice” Tina says sternly
Dana shakes her head “Changing the subject?”
“I’m your boss..I’m allowed” Tina says matter-of-factly
“How about I tell you after our date tonight?” Dana says and Tina shrugs
“Fine” Tina says grabbing her tray
Dana knew Tina was stubborn and it wasn’t going to be easy but she was going to work on bringing her and Bette together and it was an added bonus that she wouldn’t do it alone. She would have Alice by her side. It would even bring them closer getting their best friends together

Things are progressing….nicely. Alice and Dana will have their first date and Bette and Tina will be working closely together on the construction of the cancer research center.
But I do see a time factor problem in both of their lives coming up… Particularly in the newly dating stage and the falling in love stage. They both are attracted to one another, but they have yet to see the possibilities of a real relationship.
Peggy is better from her last treatment and is to be treated later this week. I hope that Tina can pull a miracle out. I would hate to lose Peggy.

This is a really good story. I love your Tina and your Bette. They are already able to talk together so easily. Alice and Dana will make some mischief to be sure. And Peggy is a real spitfire. Looking forward to Bette and Tina meeting again. Nice job!

But i don’t see the way with her work shedule that Tina can have any relationship not now, not in the future where her schedule will be even more tight.
Just wanted to briefly comment that any romance is possible when two people work at it. It seems right now there is no room for a relationship to blossom for Bette and Tina but just hang in there and you will start to see how it evolves. This story is called Blueprints not just because Bette is an architect but because the plan for a romance is laid out and all they have to do is construct it piece by piece building it into something solid as they go along

So Alice &Dana are on a mission, To get Bette and Tina dating each other. That would be fun to read!
Tina is busy trying to stop Dana from talking to her about Bette and Tina’s atraction to her, saying she wants to keep it strictly business. They are both very busy busy and married to their work. Bette constantly saying to Tina she doesn’t have to apologize because she understand. I really hope they will eventually explore their atraction and work out a way to find the time to develop a healthy relationship.
I am happy Peggy is doing better, she is a fantastic woman, i love her!
“It’s strictly business. That’s where it needs to stay.” Ha! Can’t wait to see how long that will work for Tina and Bette. There is already some very friendly touching going on. Niiice.
