Alice knowing Bette so well, knew that despite Bettes recent actions, Bette would never or could ever hurt Tina more than what she already had done and would never continue to cause her pain.

Bette with Tinas hands defeated stood as close as she could and with the already familiar tears down both their faces,

Tina with all these thoughts running through her mind tried to get out of Bettes embrace but Bette only held on tighter.

Tinas words hurt but she was right, because for that one small moment she did let go. But not of Tina, or the love she had for her, she let go of herself.

Bette was afraid to ask that question because she knew she might be the one thing Tina did not need, but she had to if she wanted to try and fix this.

Bette not wanting to but having to let go of her hands was something she could not handle, because then next she would have to let go of Tina completely. But before she released her hands she went for Tinas lips. Tina already tired and not strong enough for anything let her kiss her.
Both crying into their kiss and Bette whispering she loved her over and over before she let go of her lips, and then let go of her hands. She looked at Tina giving her what she wanted and turned around and walked towards the doors. But before Bette could open it, Tina called her and she started to turn towards her. When she stopped only to be facing her she did not see that Tina had her ring in her hand. So before she could ask anything, Tina chunked her ring at her hitting her hard in her chest.

Bette looked at Tina, then down at the ring and she knew she couldnt say anything, so as she picked it up, in trade, she left her heart on the floor. When she went to stand back up she turned so that way when she was on her feet again, she wasnt looking at Tina. This wasnt how she wanted to remember her, so she turned the ***** and walked out of the door and possibly out of her life and her heart.

As the front door closed, Tina slid down the bedroom door as the others came to surround her.

In Bettes car sitting there in the drivers seat, she opened her hand to all that she had left of her life with Tina, her ring. And as the spot to where the ring came into contact with her chest throbbed she touched it only to find that the ring she came to place on her wifes finger was now causing her chest to bleed.
