Chapter 1
Saturday evening, Bette Porter Gallery. It is the opening night of a new exhibition at Bette’s gallery and a large crowd fills the space. Bette has spent the evening moving around the gallery and greeting her many professional connections in attendance as she drifts between different conversations and partakes in her usual charming banter with her many acquaintances.
As she moves confidently around the room her attention is regularly drawn to an unfamiliar blonde woman. The woman has also been drifting between conversations, and though their paths have not crossed they have met eyes across the room on several occasions as they become increasingly aware of the location of the other at any time.
As Bette is drawn in to settle a friendly debate amongst a particular group she glances again towards the woman, noticing that she has now moved to take in the exhibit and is standing transfixed by a particular painting. Bette eventually moves on from the group she has been standing with and her eyes again search out the blonde. She smiles as she looks over at her curiously, seeing that the woman has not moved from her previous position. Bette makes her way over to her, positioning herself alongside her.
(Bette) Hi
Tina looks over and they hold each other’s gaze for a moment.
(Tina) Hi
Bette smiles and nods towards the painting they are standing in front of.
(Bette) This piece has obviously caught your eye
Tina looks at her for a moment and then frowns.
(Tina) Have I been standing here for a long time?
Bette laughs and raises her eyebrows.
(Bette) It has been a while
(Tina smiles) I keep going to move to the next painting and then I find something else to admire about this one
They smile at each other and Tina then cringes and glances around the room.
(Tina) How embarrassing, I think I forgot I was at an event
Bette laughs.
(Bette) Well it’s nice to see someone appreciating the actual art. Not just here for rubbing shoulders and free drinks
They smile at each other and then both look back towards the painting, settling alongside one another as they take it in again. Bette glances over at her.
(Bette) I’m Bette by the way

Ahh their first meeting with a twist, I cannot wait to see your take on this and very clearly love at first sight but I love playful Tina here with her responses and how she is with Bette. And then again when they meet and leave together, thank you so much for your creativity and writing your fanfics this is perfect ahhh I’m speechless I cannot wait to read the rest of this fic

Hmmmmmm this little ditty is gonna be interesting. Tina thinks she’s gonna put Bette in the “one night stand category….and Bette is proficient at doing such by the boldness of her flirtations…..so something’s gotta give!
