    (Tina) Now you’re trying to take the little time I have? (Bette) Well what are you doing walking over here so seductively? Tina smiles and looks to her with her head leaned to one side. (Bette) Besides, you’ll be fine. You seem very organised Tina laughs and looks down at her, running her fingers through

    (Tina) Now you’re trying to take the little time I have?

    (Bette) Well what are you doing walking over here so seductively?

    Tina smiles and looks to her with her head leaned to one side.

    (Bette) Besides, you’ll be fine. You seem very organised

    Tina laughs and looks down at her, running her fingers through Bette’s hair. She takes a breath and raises her eyebrows.

    (Tina) I think we really are out of time

    Bette looks up at her and they smile at each other.

    (Tina) Raincheck?

    Bette moves her hands slowly up Tina’s stomach, bringing up her t-shirt and planting a gentle kiss.

    (Bette) A two week raincheck?

    Bette continues kissing across her stomach.

    (Tina) Mmmm, I’m not happy about it either

     

    A short while later, they stand together by the front door, lost in a kiss as they both struggle to say goodbye to the other. Tina has a satchel and her handbag over her shoulder and her suitcase lies at their feet. Tina’s phone beeps periodically as notifications come through. Tina talks to her through the kiss.

    (Tina) That’s my ride

    Bette nods but makes no effort to stop kissing her.

    (Bette) OK

    Bette wraps her arms more tightly around her waist and Tina smiles.

    (Tina) They’ll leave if I don’t get out there soon

    Tina takes a sharp breath and smiles as Bette runs a hand under her t-shirt and across her lower back.

    (Tina) Bette, you are making this incredibly difficult

    Bette pulls her in even closer, kissing her firmly on the neck, and Tina laughs.

    (Tina) Baby, I’m going to miss my flight

    They both react simultaneously to Tina’s words, Bette raising her eyebrows and opening her eyes and Tina cringing. Bette feels Tina’s body tensing in her arms and she draws back to look at her. As they pull away, Bette’s hands remain on Tina’s waist and Tina places hers tentatively on Bette’s shoulders, looking back at Bette and still cringing. They both smile and Tina shakes her head.

    (Tina) I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have called you that

    Bette smiles at her for a moment and then leans her head to one side.

    (Bette) You have actually called me that before you know

    Tina smiles and shakes her head.

    1. Nothing like being apart to make lovers increase their desire to be with the other… Tina is giving in to her natural responses and calling Bette “baby” and “babe”. Bette has been calling her “T” for sometime now. This is the subconscious leaping out from time to time and reflecting what Tina actually thinks of Bette. Her desire to see Bette the moment she gets to LA and not wait another day is also indicative of the her desire to be with Bette.

      Looks to me like the boundaries are really beginning to blurr. Just a matter of time to ditch the lines and rules altogether.
