Bette thinks about Tina’s role in this impressive team – so charming, intelligent and naturally at ease with people, but always in a support role, and ultimately following someone else’s lead.
Late in the night, Bette finds herself in a quiet moment, standing by the bar as she sips her wine. Tina appears alongside her and they smile at each other.
(Tina) Hi
(Bette) Hi
They stand together in a comfortable silence, both looking around the room as they sip their drinks.
Bette looks to Tina.
(Bette) Do you enjoy these events?
Tina turns to her and smiles.
(Tina) Not really. Is it obvious?
Bette smiles.
(Bette) No, not obvious
(Tina sighs) I used to enjoy them more, I guess, but recently it feels like, I don’t know, the novelty has worn off
Tina shrugs and they each have another sip of wine.
(Tina) Did you come alone?
Bette looks at her.
(Bette) Yes, why do you ask?
(Tina) I’m just surprised, I’m sure you can have your pick of any woman in LA
Bette looks at her for a moment, considering a spiteful response and deciding against it.
Bette again looks around the room and meets eyes with a woman who has been trying to catch her attention. The woman looks at her intently and Bette smiles politely.
Tina watches the exchange and then speaks to Bette, with her eyes still on the woman.
(Tina) Case in point. She’s very beautiful
Bette looks over at Tina, examining her for a moment.
(Bette) She is
Tina has a sip of her wine and avoids Bette’s eyes as Bette continues watching her. Bette shakes her head with a teasing smile and Tina finally looks over at her.
(Tina) What?
(Bette) Is this jealousy, that’s happening here?
Tina laughs, enjoying the reference.
(Tina) Mmmm, maybe best to switch to a different topic of conversation
(Bette) Yes, good idea, it’s not the best look on you anyway
Tina looks over at her.
(Tina) Oh really? I thought you found it incredibly sexy
Bette raises her eyebrows and laughs. She then gives Tina a playful look of reproach.
(Bette) Do you think it’s sensible, to be flirting with me here?

I must admit i am very curious about Tina’s and Andrew’s relationship, i kinda get a vibe it’s a arranged relationship by their family and their relationship is platonic?

Hi Katynd! Really enjoy this story. Whenever you post a chapter, I don’t know what to expect or where you will take us, I’m always surprised, and I savor every page.
Is Tina Andrews’s beard so to speak? It is apparent that there is so much chemistry with she and Bette. Why would Tina be so willing to deprive herself? Who made the deal with the devil? PPS
It is obvious to me that Tina has it bad for Bette. She drops everything to go to Bette’s aid when she needs it. She purposely finds her way over to Bette at a party and now Andrew has noticed that something has not been right about Tina since she returned from her trip to Majorca. He will soon see that Tina’s eyes only brighten when she is around Bette. Tina has to decided what her life is going to be…. the life she mapped out prior to Majorca or the life she discovered while vacationing in Majorca….
